Rare, and lucky. Because, instead of fumbling 4 times against the Rams, if we had fumbled say, once more against the Saints, twice against the Cowboys, and once vs. the Eagles (same ball security %), we'd be staring 2-4 in the face right now, and 0-3 in the division.

Even with the loss to the Rams, we're clearly better off the way things HAVE worked out as opposed to what could have been.

Re: Romo out 4 Weeks

I think what this proves is that Zorn (or Gibbs for that matter) can stress ball security all they want, but if the QB's arm is hit, or a helmet hits the ball squarely, it's still going to come out.

What hasn't happened yet is that Jason Campbell hasn't thrown a ball into coverage that he shouldn't have thrown. And that's a huge advantage we have over other teams. Because teams that play us are throwing very interceptable balls, and if that trend continues we will dominate the turnover margin this season.

ha ha! Good! this could mean big time trouble for the girls. however, if romo hurts it bad enough to where he can't play the Wash. game, Brad Johnson will prob rip us to shreds,(always does), but in the same breath, dallas prob won't win many other games.a gift and a curse...

on another note, does anyone else find it bizarre that we play dallas at wash. after our bye week but cowgirls also have their bye week that same week? kinda takes away any advantage of the bye week doesn't it? In all my years i don't think I've ever heard of 2 teams playing each other after bye week. they should do them all like this...imho

JC is really doing a great job protecting the ball. Just an amazing job to not have an INT so far.

He couldn't hold onto the ball with all of his fingers in tact. So, how many fumbles will he have with a broken finger? 7? 8?

GO RAMS!

They pressured Campbell very well, better than anyone else this season so far. Hopefully they can get some good shots on Romo too.

Re: Romo out 4 Weeks

I was surprised he wasn't going to play, not taking anything away from a broken finger, just seemed 4 weeks was way to long to be out. If Campbell did that, the threads would probably light up.
But why would Favre call another team's qb in the middle of the season??? would he do that if he had been in the NFC?
weird.

I have thought it has been kind of funny while Troy Aikman has been announcing our games he has talked about how well JC holds on to the ball in trafic and does not put it on the ground. Everytime I hear him say this I jus think back to all his fumbles last year. He is doing a better job of protecting the ball but I'm not ready to say he does a great job of not fumbling because of how many he had last year. Its like Aikman is just looking at what he has done over the past 6 weeks.

I was thinking about this the other day. All the wierd drills JZ ran last summer may have done some good. Specifically, look at the way JC handles himself under pressure in the pocket this year. Always looking downfield, maintaining focus on the play and not the whirlwind of activity around him. Maybe throwing blocking pads at him worked? It may have also helped him stay out of trouble thus far in general.

He's done a great job this year. Aikman has referenced the fact that in the past he didn't do a very good job at holding on to the ball.
