Re: What should we draft?

I'd say offensive tackle, but only if where we fall in the draft facilitates a good pick.. Say we pick 20th or whatever (not a prediction) and all of the OT top talent is gone, we take the chance that the following rounds' talent will still be there. If there's a stud LB or DT, maybe even DE, take that.

We have a lot of people that are going to need replacing in the near future, especially on OL, a bit on DL, LB, and DB

Hopefully our youth movement with Landry, Horton, Blades, McIntosh, Rogers and maybe Dante Hall will keep us going for awhile.

Last time I checked AJ Hawk was horrible in coverage. I do agree that we need a LB though.

Re: What should we draft?

AJ Hawk might be terrible in coverage but he is solid...the type of guy who rarely misses tackles and can manage a defense so that london fletcher's replacement is there...

Re: What should we draft?

too early, since we don't know when we'll pick, who's available, and I haven't looked at any highlights or seen the combine/game/etc yet.

we need a new RT to play yesterday though - or maybe a stud LT that can hang out on the right till samuels is done.

Re: What should we draft?

Im not an idiot, but i see a QB that has problems under pressure .(he holds the ball). And in this day and age they will bring the farm.I will give you one answer to your obsession with Campbell of why hes doing descent, its called Clinton Portis. It seems he cant win the games, without run support.I dont want to bash on Campbell,i do like him ,i just think in the long haul ,Brennan will be better. As for his release, look at his completion rating.I do believe it is around the 70% range in Hawaii.A version of the run and gun offense ,deep throws, middle routes, etc.Pretty good completion % for an offense that goes deep. And in the combine he was the only QB without an incompletion. He reminds me alot of a young armslinger that came up in the early 90's and plays for the Jets.

campbell sucks? brennan's superman?

70% in a gimmick WAC offense isn't going to carry over to the nfl. he might be good, he might not be, but your expectations may be too high.

agreed..but campbell has few playmakers around him.. so he has to rely on portis.. and so do the playcallers

I think that we'd see a whole diff campbell if kelly and/or thomas comes around and moss stays healthy

to compare the hawaii offense to what we're doing in the nfl is ridiculous.. is this you coach spurrier?

Re: What should we draft?

Offensive Tackle, Jansen is a liability. That isnt to say he wasnt the leader of the OLINE since '99 and playing with brokken thumbs he still was amazing but him sucking in pass blocking or having a guy fail in 1 dimennsion of his game can and may be a health risk to the guys around him. 1 weak liink breaks the chain. RThomas is amazing we need to stack a guy next to him with more than heart/admoration(heyer)

WLB- MWashington is defective, obsolete call it what you want- too much money for average mediocre play. I remember when he stripped TO on the 5 yard line...3 years ago

Center- Raybach is undersized for todays DLINE.

I do think we are in real good shape this year we may not be so much as shopping just filling patches, to replace aging guys. Ive been harping for years that we just need to Draft and build cheap. Keep the talent and pay them well not buying FA everywhere. We are on the way to achieving that.

Giants vs Reskins....Yay Yaayyyyy.

Yeah, he has dropped off as a decent lineman. I love the guy, he has been around and helped up through thick and thin, but its time to get a bigger, younger guy in there.

Re: What should we draft?

Kicker Suisham has the leg of a 12 year old. How many games has he been depended on to spark a rally or keep the crowd into it. He isnt asked to kick many but each of his misses costs us severely.

The 2 players I want run out of town are Suisham and MWashington, we can do better.

Re: What should we draft?

We need the big guys up front. Whether it be an offensive or defensive we need em. Hanyesworth in free agency and Oher in the draft would be a great start.
