I was calling for this thread to be closed last week and now it makes sense to keep it up.

While we are it pilling it on Shanahan, he cost Obama the election according to the Redskin rule.

Totally agree with everything. I guess im questioning him throwing in the towel. Giving him the benefit of the doubt that what he meant was - " now that our season is in serious jeopardy it is going to give us a chance to evaluate which of these guys fights and which doesnt. "
Did I just defend Shanahan? I better get some sleep. Between the hurricane and watching that game today I think I am mentally and physically exhausted.

Btw. This has been the easiest first half schedule the skins have seen in many years. Whata waste.

How? The giants, bucs, vikings, Steelers and falcons are all better than us

I see that after the last few weeks. After beating NO, figured wins vs Rams, Cinci, Vikes, Bucs, Car and maybe Gmen. Had leads late vs NY and Atl. All for not. Rams will get a nice pick.

If we are going to lose, I say we hire Jim Mora. At least the post game pressers would be entertaining.

Great. That stays in my head for a solid hour if I even think about it.

The rams game killed us, we would have started 2-0 and it seems like a small deal but that helps the confidence of a rookie even more

You look at the NY Giants in the 2005 Draft the only had four draft picks

2nd Round (43 selection) Correy Webster DB
3rd Round (74 selection) Justin Tuck DE
4th Round (110 selection) Brandon Jacobs RB
6th Round (186 selection) Eric Moore DE

Three of those four were solid hits, Tuck obviously being a big time stud.

The Skins just don't seem to hit on their drafts like that, period, which is why the team is where it is record wise.
That's one of the reasons I'm saying it doesn't matter if we fire Shanahan. We're going to suck next with or without Shanahan, and probably suck the year after that and the year after that...

Yeah, I know I'm being reactionary, but here's a thinking exercise: imagine you're a Broncos fan and the Raiders had drafted RGIII. Would you be worried that the Raiders would be a better team for the next decade? No, you wouldn't be. Why? Because they're the Raiders; they'll always suck. If we fire Shanahan after this season (a move to which I'm not necessarily opposed) then we'll just be having this discussion again in three years.

Shanny was getting free money from the Broncos when he decided to take the Skins job. He's loaded, with a mansion back in Denver. He's not here just for the money.
