Re: Romo out 4 Weeks
On ESPN's NFC East Blog, it says Jerry Jones was catching Romo's passes before practice, and that JJ thinks Romo could play on Sunday. I am glad Snyder has pretty much learned to let the coaches coach!

Re: Romo out 4 Weeks
I think Brett Favre could and has pulled off playing effectively with a broken finger....but Tony Homo is no Brett Favre. So I hope if he does play they break the rest of his fingers for being such a fool..

Re: Romo out 4 Weeks
if romo plays then he gets credit for stepping up and playing . . . i just think its alil too early for them to think their season is on the line but i dont see how the injury could get worse with playing. im no doctor but a broken pinky cant get anymore broke can it?
idk with this kind of injury, and i think this is what favre was tellin him, playing wont make it worse, its just a matter of whether you can grip the ball and throw it given the pain and wrap/splint on there. im guessin romo wont be able to throw as well and unfortunately the boys might be forced to run the ball more and become a more balanced offensive team because of it. im not defending romo, i think he throws may too many up for grab balls after he scrambles around, but a pinky is probaly the one bone on your throwing hand you could break and still play. playing with a broken thumb i would see being much more difficult, and that just favre being favre there. go skins!!! |

Re: Romo out 4 Weeks
The funny thing is, Wade Phillips, the supposed head coach, is actually more like 3rd in line. Jerry Jones #1, Jason Garrett #2....

Re: Romo out 4 Weeks
You just know if Dallas has another quick playoff exit or doesn't make it at all, Phillips will be the easy fall guy.

Re: Romo out 4 Weeks
I really don't see Wade keeping his job another year no matter what. Jones is so in love with Garrett that I don't see him taking a chance and waiting another year. Also Garrett would be an idiot to pass on another head coaching job if he gets the chance to take it. You have to strike while the iron is hot. If the team can't win with the offensive weapons they claim they have then how good is Garrett really? I don't think he will be as highly regarded at the end of this season as he was last season so he can't afford to wait another year.
