That's the guy Jay wanted to hire. He was a coach here back when in the Spurrier years.

I think the Bengals have been hit by a lot of injuries on defense

Seems like we all agree that Haslett does not have alot of talent to work with but he doesnt get the most from what he has. So now we are going to go after a guy whose squad has allowed 500 more yards in offense than our putrid D? The Bengals are certainly not the least talented defense in the league injuries or not. Ill pass.

This again is a problem of bringing in a new head coach and then the Owner/FO telling him the DC stays.

HC needs to have a strong say in who he works with...again this is a failure of the Owner/FO. And we are left with doing the samething we should have done last year, bringing in a new DC when the season ends.

Agreed. Maybe this offseason Gruden will have more say in the matter.

I don't know which is worse - Allen and/or Snyder overruling Gruden, or Allen and/or Snyder being so smitten with Hasless that the "overruling" issue came up to begin with.

I agree the head coach needs to have a say. I also am a big believer in reading between the lines, and thinking outside the box. I try not to ever see things in a black and white - no in between, sort of way. I understand that circumstance can change things, etc etc.
However in this case, I find myself saying "hold on, this is black and white - do not hire a guy who is in charge of possibly the worst defense in the league rite now".

Bengals should go with JC. He's a better QB than Dalton.

When do the players take blame for blowing coverages and not covering no name TE's? It doesn't matter who the DC is IMO. The defense needs 4-5 new starters.

How do we know Allen/Snyder did this? I'm sure Gruden had a say who his coaches were going to be.

I dont think the players decided they werent going to blitz rookie Teddy Bridgewater.....
Edit : dont get me wrong we are lacking talent big time on that side of the ball. I think you are being kind saying we only need 4-5 starters...

Yeah I agree there but we did blitz him early and he missed two td's. Teddy B settled down and give the guy credit. He stepped up in the pocket, something I have yet to see RG3 do, eluded the rush and made some plays. Mr. Hatcher is suppose to be caving in the pocket but was nowhere to be found.

Your too quick to respond. Lol. See my edit. Our talent is definitely lacking!

This story about 20 Cowpukes missing curfew is funny. I hope they under estimate the Jags and get owned in London. #CowboySuk
