Re: NFL Players Weigh In On Haynesworth Situation

Well I was wrong about him showing up to camp but I'm hoping that he's on the roster this year. The guy CAN play. I don't care how many times he lays on the ground after taking on double teams and still finding a way to stop Brandon Jacobs on 4th and goal from the 1. The dude is a monster point blank.

I think he needs to do more than just show up. He needs to show up in shape, ready to work, and keep his mouth shut. Even then he's got a lot to prove. Can he play at a high level all year and keep the BS to a minimum?

I think the answer to that question Matty, will go a long way in deteremining how successful we are on defense, and I am not talking about just his on field play but if he can keep the locker room from splitting or anything that takes the focus off of football and on himself.

Saw it aswell, the only thing you left out is that he said he would still have Albert on his big 3 team, but put him at DE, cause thats where he needs to play to be really successful shaun said. And I agree with him on that for sure.

Yeah but he also said that on passing plays he would be technically be playing the 4-3 anyway and rushing the quarterback. I think that if he comes to camp in as good a shape as his trainer has said and he is playing well people will forget a lot of this controversy. The one thing about football is that people have a very short memory if problems go away because of success.

I think people will forget it for now, but it'll come back up next offseason. Shanahan has a history of running players out of town who don't agree with him and I doubt Haynesworth becomes an exception. Especially after his take the money and run act.

I agree completely. However, I would love nothing less for him to dominate this year and patch things up, so if nothing else, his stock rises enough for another team to trade a lot for him if Shanny does get rid of him.

Re: NFL Players Weigh In On Haynesworth Situation

Haynesworth is a schlub. The guy cares nothing for the team or winning, only about fat-ass Albert and the Benjamins. Honestly I dont care if he did well with the Titans, if he's not going to make some serious impact, I'd rather not have him at all. He's a disruptive lowlife, and honestly just makes the organization look bad.

Keep a close eye on fans reaction, remember they change on a dime. I wouldn't miss opening day of training camp for nothing in the world. It's a must see, the circus that's going to be Redskin Park.

Just remember - the Beloved John Riggins sat out a year and Saint Joe did his best to trade him.....

As stated above winning cures all.

Mike Wise - Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan should be the bigger man in the Albert Haynesworth saga

Good read on the Haynesworth situation.
