These people aren’t exactly who you think they are…but if you get your info from anywhere but a demographic breakdown of the data u might not know that.

Also “I’m gonna shutdown the virus”…that promise hasn’t happened either. Trying to blame Facebook ain’t gonna cut it.

This is still America right?

Get the vaccine if you want it. Don't get the vaccine if you don't want it. Don't shame anyone else for making a decision opposite of yours. You're not "right". You just made a different choice.
Thank you, Chief! I was on a basketball message board, and there's a thread (of course) related to the vaccine. I and another poster was ridiculed by three or four other posters because we've chosen not to get the vaccine.

I believed I mentioned this here previously, but I had Covid in March of 2020. I only endured rather mild symptoms and was back to normal in a matter of days.

I know this dude who is still dealing with issues from the vaccine weeks after it was administered. I also have this peculiar suspicion that the vaccine played a major role in the recent premature passing of a lady who I had the pleasure of knowing since the age of 4.

It's my right to not take it as it's the right for others to take it. No need for the ridiculing and ostracizing. Keep it movin'!

Washington Football Team coach Ron Rivera 'beyond frustrated' by low vaccination rate of his players

On Tuesday, Washington placed offensive tackle Cornelius Lucas on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

And it begins

You do realize that you and 2 people you know isn't a good cross section for the spread and total effect of a worldwide contagion, right? I believe I had it back in Feb of 2020....and it was very mild. Everyone at my job did. Fast forward to valentines day 2021, and my gf got it...she was almost hospitalized. Very very scary to see. I stayed with her the whole time in close contact, and I never tested positive. Some people have no symptoms, some people die. I'm not throwing shade at anyone not getting the vaccine....but let's not act like this thing isn't fucking some people up really badly. Cause it is. And I'm not talking about the (probably) inflated numbers that are/were released after everything was politicized and monitized....but real world shit........this thing is real, and has hurt a lot of people of all ages and demographics.

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread

Considering the facts that it's an experimental injection that's NOT working, any mandate or forcing of anyone to get it is just immoral. Forcing kids to get it without considering reactions and long-term effects is child abuse.

I hope half the league stands up to the politics of mandated injections.

I see Ron's obvious personal concerns after surviving cancer, but that still doesn't give anyone the right to force someone to get it if they're not making the decision themselves.

Israel. who is always ahead of the curve compared to us and has a more open and honest media than we do...is reporting 84% of new "COVID" cases are in VACCAINATED people.

This experimental injection is turning out to be working more like an annual flu vaccine, that sometimes hits the mark and sometimes doesn't...and doesn't actually prevent anyone from still getting the flu...as compared to the advertised promises from politicians that it will all-out PREVENT you from getting "COVID", much like a Small Pox or Polio inoculation.

"COVID" is not on par with Small Pox or Polio in severity or behavior, it's no more severe than the regular flu with a 99.7% survival rate. Why all of the deaths then? Because it's new and NO ONE had any resistance built up against it. As time does on, we'll all become more naturally resistant to it, just like ANY OTHER VIRUS.

The CDC, the NFL, the media...this constant barrage to get in line and follow orders isn't about concern for health, it's about Government control.

Same with masks, they do nothing and in some people cause more harm than benefit, yet no one is allowed to deviate from the marching orders and make the right decision for their own health. It's getting to the point where the Government is allowing your job and livelihood to be taken away if you don't comply. It's pure evil and the lack if history taught in public schools over the past few decades (by design) has allowed the masses to just blindly follow without realizing the end game.

Obviously, you missed my point, which I'll touch on shortly. I mentioned those two people to shed a bit of light on the vaccine; not to deter or throw any shade. I'm also very aware of what Covid has done to people and their families (regardless of the exaggerated numbers).

My main point was I've noticed the vaccinated are the main people who are ridiculing and ostracizing the non-vaccinated. Quite frankly, we don't know the long-term effects of this trial/emergency vaccine. So, I feel myself and others, who do not want to take the jab, should have the right not to do so without worrying about losing our jobs and being badgered by the vaccinated.

This here is what I've told several people.... It's a new virus and we'll all eventually build natural immunity over time.

Thank you!

By the way, thanks for an overall, solid post.

In bold this is the correct take. And I’ll say for those who make the same argument against the vaccine, I think it’s the most reasonable.

On the other side, the numbers do speak for themselves. Vaccines work. And when you see an overwhelming number of hospitalizations and death from the variant on those unvaccinated…I don’t feel anger towards those people but empathy. I don’t want to see fellow citizens die. Just want to end with this, IMO if you are over 50, the risk posed by covid is much greater than a vaccine

... and this is why we didnt have a covid sports thread for so long.

Impossible to keep it about sports and it just turns into a general political pissing lecture.

That's because the virus is a political issue. Thank your Government.
