1000: Finding a Position on the Team
It came to my attention last night that I would hit the 1000 post milestone today sometime and as I thought about it it was clear it was time for a profound statement.
I Feel Like I'm a Part of This Team. When I first got here sometime last year after Gibbs was announced I posted off the cuff and jumpped in a few threads but saw I was out of my league when it came down to Redskins information. I read Joe Crisp's reports and other information that was so up to date and thought provoking that I knew I didn't have anything worth contributing so I kicked back and mostly read stuff. I saw indepth investigative reporter guys adding what they could get. I saw bean counters tabulating stats and sharing their data. I saw the Mods coaching the group and keeping us focused. Ok, I do find it funny how they play hide and seek with my threads but I figure they know I was a hippy back in the day and are just messing with my head...but I digress. I found that I knew a few things they didn't. Stuff about history of the Redskins and could add a few visual things here and there that were apprieciated. If I just play my position on this team I can add to thewarpath.net! I think I have added and I sure know I've gained so much by finding this place and supporting this site's TEAM and my Redskins Team. Thanks for having me folks and thanks to you all for your hard work and sportsmanlike ribbing. Go Raiders! HAIL TO THE REDSKINS! peace mike

Mike-
Fantastic complements for your 1000th post! We value all the members of the Warpath family so much here. It's gratifying to know that we are valued in return. Regards, Brud

I lived in Woodbridge from 98 to 2004. Wish we could of watched a few games together, but mostly flip through that redskin card collection. Congrats 1000!!

Way to go, SBF!
You're definitely a valued veteran around here now, and we appreciate everything you've contributed to our little Warpath community. You bring a unique and welcome perspective to the threads, and you're certainly a perfect example of how it's still possible to express one's personality through this faceless medium. All Redskins fans should be as enthusiastic and spirited as the great SammyBaughFan! HTTR!!!

Re: 1000: Finding a Position on the Team
Congrats on 1000. One day I'll get there. I think they subtract posts from me when I'm drunk! It's a great team to be a part of. As a true fanatic this place IS the Redskins source for history, stats, friendly banter, bs, fun, REDSKINS and etc. I'm glad to have such a good bunch of people to share the 2nd coming with. Warpath epiphany time: My dog Doug Williams won pet of the month because of this site! Someone mailed my brother Warpath a #17 dog jersey for Doug. Others wished Warpath get wells when he was in his carwreck. Gibbs brings great family and great team feeling to all the fans and players. Who cares what Chris Carter or Peter King say. Joey T knows Gibbs and he picked us to go the Superbowl! GO SKINS!!!
PS- gotta win today!

Re: 1000: Finding a Position on the Team
"Having this interest here in the Redskins is the chief hobby of my life. And I would bet you that if you had your choice of any hobby in the world, an angel fairy came down and said, '[You can have anything] in the world you would like to own,' I wouldn't be surprised if you said a football club and particularly the Washington Redskins.'' — Jack Kent Cooke, at the Redskins minicamp in spring 1996.
