Should We Pick Kenard Lang up for DE help?
http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/CLE/9260639
In his last season playing on the DL (for Cleveland) he had great numbers, its only when they moved him to linebacker that his numbers went to crap. Plus I always liked him and he might be cheap

Dude is 31 now, I'd rather see the Skins go with a youth movement, we've already got our share of DE's on the wrong side of 30.

he is a high motor high character guy. sign him plus draft a def lineman in the 2nd or 3rd round and we are set |

Re: Should We Pick Kenard Lang up for DE help?
the only way i would want him is if they got him for minimum salary, which i doubt will happen so i dont want him
he's too old and we need someone who is better at pass rushing than Lang |

Lang is a very similar player to Wynn and Daniels if you ask me.
Lang was never a premium pass rusher, he was a decent all around player who had some good years but at 31 I'd pass and look elsewhere. |

we had him once, and I dont think adding him back to the roster is all that great of a move, unless its for depth purpose only. I believe he would have the same production as the other two ends we have Daniels and wynn.

agree we need a mix but i think that lang is an upgrade over wynn and can play better in space than either daniels or wynn. how much better would the skins have been with lang playing the position lavar played onthird downs last year? at least lang has proven he can rush the passer. 2 years ago he had 8 sacks for cleveland playing de.. |

bring him back, with the hopefull trade for Abraham that line rotation would be off the hook! With Lavar hopefully healthy and still on the team that d would be off the hook!

Re: Should We Pick Kenard Lang up for DE help?
I always loved his attitude. They had him beef up and play tackle, then cleveland made him slim down and play lb and he never complains. If the price was low he would be a decent insurance policy if our other avenues did not pan out. I agree he isn't the answer, though.
Does anyone else remember the game that he put forth such an effort that he got a standing ovation when they finally pulled him from the game? What game was that?

Re: Should We Pick Kenard Lang up for DE help?
I would want him back just to take Wynn's place as a cheaper version of Renaldo Wynn. And so that I can once again proudly display the autographed 4x6(?) I have of him...lol
