ESPN Mock Draft concerning the Redskins
ESPN Insider Todd McShay has wasted his time predicting the entire draft. Heres his picks for the Redskins (I think he forgot the pick the Skins' got from the Jets since he still has them selecting in the 6th round)
53. Washington Redskins Darryl Tapp | DE | Virginia Tech 153. Washington Redskins Clint Ingram | OLB | Oklahoma 189. Washington Redskins Johnny Jolly | DT | Texas A&M 196. Washington Redskins (from Carolina) Terrance Pennington | OT | New Mexico 230. Washington Redskins Troy Reddick | OT/OG | Auburn 250. Washington Redskins (Compensatory Selection) Ryan Plackemeier | PT | Wake Forest DISCUSS

Re: ESPN Mock Draft concerning the Redskins
we do have pick 173 overall from the jets, shame everyone misses that. ingram is okay, i think better guys will be available later though. posible jahri evans, dion byrum, doughty, etc etc
I don't agree with taking tapp and the skins have shown every indication its going LB, posibly CB with an outsside chance at TE. |

Redskins Draft Target--DE Rob Ninkovich By: Ed Thompson Date: Apr 17, 2006 Among the prospects that the Redskins had a formal interview with at the scouting combines was Rob Ninkovich of Purdue. The defensive end battled his way to the top of the Boilermakers' depth chart midway through his senior year and impressed enough to draw the attention of the Redskins and several other teams. |

this rob guy is like the 22nd best DE in the draft, runs a 4.9 and may not be drafted at all. |

Re: ESPN Mock Draft concerning the Redskins
I would be very shocked if Darryl Tapp is around at 53. If he is, I hope the skins take him. Tapp is a baller and a hard working one at that. Still, I stand by my draft predictions.

Re: ESPN Mock Draft concerning the Redskins
plackmeir would be a great 7th round pick. we need a kickoff guy and a punter. 53rd pick, with the tapp pick, we may be getting best position available. also, wynn and daniels are both old, this is what good teams do. they draft to replace a need that will be there in a year or 2.

Re: ESPN Mock Draft concerning the Redskins
at 53 there should be a lott better players than tapp around. I doubt seriously plack will be there at pick 250, but if he is, it'd be a great pickup.

Re: ESPN Mock Draft concerning the Redskins
yes i got the memo lets see daniels had 8 whole sack and 4 came in one game against dallas. So lets see if my math is right that 4 whole sacks in 15 other games whooo that alot. Carter didnt do much better wouldnt be nice to have another pass rusher to give the other teams something to worry about. Because our pressure suck most of last year.

Re: ESPN Mock Draft concerning the Redskins
welcome scc.while i agree about the pass rush last year, greg williams likes to generate his pass rush from all angles.i think the skins go linebacker here, and hopefully in the kid from miami.thatguy, you have an opinion on him as a player?(scc, dont take anything personal here, youre among friends)

Re: ESPN Mock Draft concerning the Redskins
While I agree that DE depth is a good thing to have, I think that Daniels did a better job last year than his sack total alone implies. He stuffed the run, batted down a lot of passes, and still generated 8 sacks. You cannot just discount his 4 sacks against dallas. Most of the time a big sack guy gets lucky with his matchups a couple of times in the year to help his numbers. Daniels really played perfectly in Greg Williams system.
Oh yeah, and we added Carter (now returning to his DE position...)
