Quinn Sypniewski, TE, Colorado

http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/sco...ypniewski.html

A prospect with no chance to go before the 6th round, I think he could turn into a very respectable NFL TE. Runs 4.8, so he will never be a downfield threat, but is considered the best blocking TE in the class. Many draft sites report that he's a heady, high character guy, with good hands, and is a disciplined route runner. They say he isn't a recieving threat, but I believe a receiving threat is what you make of it. The prototypical developmental project.

If he wasn't overshadowed by Klopfenstein, he probably would be picked much earlier, possibly (but not probably) day 1.

If we were to take this guy, I would give both Cerrato and Gibbs a big hug.

I wouldn't take this guy, unless he can resolve his injury. As posted, he has a history of injury.

This reminds me of the old toes of Coles. Coles had speed to start off, but the nagging toe slowed him. Quinn is not a fast guy to start off, plus you can't power block on one foot. Because of his character, he could be valuable to Redskins only if he can fix his toes.

How do you pronounce your name? Twat? Just asking! Just wanted to see if it was a joke or not.

Be Tuat means baby dog (puppy). Phoenetically, to write this out I'm not sure how. It's definitely not twat; it's more close to twuat/ twuck..... Anyway, it's vietnamese.

Got it. Thanks for the explanation. Sometimes a joke is slipped in every now and then and with some of us in this group, you never can tell.

No offense will be taken. This is a decent forum for expressing our humble opinions whatever the topic may be. One of the reasons why I joined the Warpath was because the views expressed weren't dry; facts mixed with humor. Otherwise, I'll just read the newspaper. You guys are cool.

It's more than just sometimes we are misunderstood. I think it's the language barrier.

Ya y waste a 2nd rounder on TE this year, i say go for this guy in the 6th or seventh and pick up a LB or CB in the 2nd. If he turns out to be a bust like Newberry last year then we only wasted a sixth rounder.

Re: Quinn Sypniewski, TE, Colorado

As I understand it, Saunders' offense is similar to the tight ends of Norv Turner's offense in Dallas (I'll use Dallas as an example because that's where he was most successfull) for instance, Jay Novacek. Saunders had Tony Gonzales in K.C.

I think it's all going to come down to how much Saunders is in control of the offense. With his and Norv's, it's an emphasis on pass-catching tight ends. With Gibbs, it's blockers first -- like Ron Middleton, or Don Warren.

He's a great TE to have in the running game. As an added bonus, he's a football player.
