I will be once I get more stuff up. I posted pics in another thread of it, but it's looking kind of bare right now. I just have the colors up and have a few odds and ends.

I feel like I let a lot of people down. Being a hampton roads native and a self proclaimed diehard and not going this weekend doesn't show much support. Any one else attend? Got sigs? Pics?

Re: REDSKINS BEACH BLITZ June 2 - 4, 2006 in Virginia Beach

I was luck enough to get in on the golf tournament. We only got in about an hour of golf because of rain, but it was still great. Karon Riley was with my group. He has played ball for a variety of clubs and is fighting for some sort of spot on the team. He is a DE. Anyway, the dude is an absolute riot. Great all around guy... talks smack, but keeps it real.

Because of the rain, I had a better chance to meet the others who showed up. Some included Chris Cooley, John Hall, Rock Cartwright, Ladell Betts, Jim Molinaro (BIG DUDE!!!) et al.

First autograph and picture of the day came from Greg Williams himself. I try to stay away from to much football talk during these events, but after thanking him for his autograph I said "We are all pretty excited about this year". Man he just lit up! He started talking about Saunders and the new receiving corp and how he filled holes this offseason. He was jacked up! I really think he believes that he has something very special going into this year.

Also, he specifically went out of his way to say he is NOT leaving Washington until his kids are out of school (at the earliest) so don't believe the media if they start a rumor again after the season.

I'll try to post the pictures as soon as my buddy emails them to me. (He brought the camera)

Re: REDSKINS BEACH BLITZ June 2 - 4, 2006 in Virginia Beach

I played in the golf tournament as well. Gregg Williams was definitely the man. Coach Danny Smith was such a nice guy. I think he was stoked to have someone recognize him. I talked to him for 5-10 minutes. I also talked to Chris Cooley, Rock Cartwright, Ladell Betts, Khary Campbell, Jim Malinaro and John Hall. In my group was none other than Larry Michael and Ron Johnson (who is apparently trying out for reciever, good luck!!). Larry Michael cusses like a sailor when he plays golf. We only paid three and half holes, but I must have heard 15 F bombs. Although it was rained out, it was such a cool experience.
