An A+ to.....(insert name)

Since we just bashed a bunch of athletes who are in it for all the wrong reasons let's get some names of some of the guys who give it all for their team and are great people. I got a few:

Darrell Green
Cal Ripken Jr.
Miguel Tejada ( I don't think he ever wanted to leave B-more)
Reggie White
Tiger Woods

who else??????????

An A+ to Marcus Washington. I think he is probably one of the top two defensive players on the redskins, it's either him or Sean Taylor probably. He is one of the best at his position, and he's a nice person off the field too.

I think alot of people have pointed out D.Green is a major dick to fans, I think he is an A+ on the field, but off the field he is an arrogent asshole.

I concur, Marcus Washington is a really nice guy. I met him at training camp and he had a full blown conversation with me and my younger brother. Before that point, my brother didnt know who he was, bc he is in elementary. But now he is a huge Marcus fan. He was really nice, and geniune, which I appreciated alot. Cooley was a really nice guy too, I think alot of that also had to do bc he was young, and still naive in NFL terms. He spent alot of time out there with the fans as well. It will be interesting to see how Cooley acts at training camp, now that he has really blown up since last year. I hope all the success hasnt gotten to his head. I tell you all one thing, another Skin that was a really nice and great guy to us was LaVar. He spent a couple hours after everyone else was gone, just to talk with fans, once he ran away, as if he was going in, then he turned, smiled sheepishly and came back to talk to us some more. I tell you what, even though alot of ppl here hate him bc they are pissed he left the team I def give him an A+ for what he did with the fans and the community. Maybe not an A+ for out on the field last season, however. Sorry to bring ol' LaVar back into it, but the chain of thought went as follows: Marcus -> training camp -> A+ -> training camp -> Cooley -> A+ ->training camp -> LaVar -> A+*

A+*=A+ off the field

A+ to Clinton Portis, for changing his running style to fit into Joe Gibbs' system better. Now he loves punishing defenders and stepping on their chests on the way to the endzone. A+ for being so unselfish.

Bohnzie you should like this one, A+ to golfer Tom Watson for paying for all of his caddy's medical treatments as he fights Lou Gehrigs disease.

Re: An A+ to.....(insert name)

Other A+ guys:

Albert Pujols - will one day rescue baseball from steroids, as he'll blow by Hank Aaron without the help of steroids.

Mark Mulder and Mark Buerhle - They don't take 5 minutes between every pitch, and consequently their baseball games actually keep me interested. Kudos for pitching so quickly.

Elton Brand and Tim Duncan - Two of the only quiet, blue-collar superstars in the game. Maybe the only two NBA superstars who aren't completely full of themselves.

Clinton Portis - For injecting some fun into the Redskins locker room.

Chris Cooley - For dating this girl. I'm pissed that he got her kicked off the cheerleading squad, but he still gets an A+ for obvious reasons.
