Portis to NE, for 2 1rd picks
I read on some other forum that Portis will be traded away to NE for two of their 1st round picks. This rumor started from ESPN radio. The evidence supporting it is the fact skins have not agreed to a contract yet with protis.

HOLY SH-T! This could be a very good idea, but I'd want to recoup our #2 pick as well. I highly doubt that this will happen since NE rarely goes after HUGE names with HUGE price tags (that's our thing). Also, Gibbs has been after a big name, big time back and Portis is that guy.

To me it doesn't make sense bc we would trade bailey and the 37th pick for the 21st and 32nd picks. I think it just a rumor, but was reported by espn, so it is a dicy situation.

Actually the 42nd pick (Cleveland has the 37th). But good point, that doesn't seem like a very fair trade or smart planning on our FO's part.

It's being said that we might get Ty Law, bc he is unhappy with the proposal he got from NE. Personally I would like it if we get him and 2 first rd picks. But that might be too much to ask from NE.

I'd rather have portis than two low 1st rounders.

This rumor is total nonsense. There are more rumors out there than you can shake a stick at, and 99% have one thing in common - they're horse hockey.

Yeah, this rumor is rediculous and would be a VERRRRY dumb trade on our part. I mean we trade the 42nd pick and Champ Bailey, esentially for the 21st and 32nd picks??? Thats obsurd . I havent heard it anywhere, and hope that I dont have too.

This trade makes no sense to me either. I find it hard to believe and even though it came from the "Worldwide Leader in Sports" just remember even they have been wrong before....how many draft picks did we get from the Dolphins when they named Spurrier coach? you see my point?

If this is true, this has got to be the dumbest move the Skins could make. What the hell's the point? 2 first round picks? Niether one would be as good as Portis. New England's picks are low and we couldn't get a decent runner at that spot. There aren't even that many decent runners in the draft. This would be absolutely ridiculous!
