Brandon Lloyd country music fan?

Receiver Lloyd brings added character to offense - NFL - Yahoo! Sports

I just stumbled upon this article on yahoo. I never would have thought he was a country music fan since is also an aspiring rapper. But please B Lloyd can you concentrate on football? Please!!!!! I think he will have a great impact with the redskins. He was something we lacked last year towards the end of the season when everyone was keying on santana. Can wait to see him, santana and randel el on the field together. I tell ya what its gonna be like picking your poison. We have some weapons on offense but the real question is how well can we utilize them. Come on sept 11 i am dying to see what we do.

I'd rather see him get into country music than (c)rap. There's a better chance he'd be doing the hunting rather than being hunted that way.

But then he'd have to remove his brain, vote for Bush and quote the bible while driving his pickup to his children's mother's trailer after losing his job.

Re: Brandon Lloyd country music fan?

Both musics have their ups and down. Country isn't the twangy sappy stories the used to be. Some country is funny, though it's not my cup of tea I see the appeal of some country music.

Rap is such a broad category I find it hard that someone who has listened to much of it can call it crap. I agree that the stuff on MTV and BET is crap for the most part. Every once and a while you'll find some good lyrical content in those songs, but rarely. If you're at all interested in expanding your vision of rap music, Ill gladly send you some MP3s by some of my favorite artists. Sage Francis, Gang Starr (Guru and DJ Premier), Blackstar (Mos Def and Talib Kwali), Sage Francis, and many more. Rap Music can be anything from BITCHES AND MONEY to really well thought out lyrical content that is some of the most socially responsible thing Ive seen.

Most of all -- it makes no sense to shit on anyones music. I consider myself somewhat ecclectic. I'll listen to anything from Jazz to Rap. Doesn't mean I "like" it all, but I give it a chance. People like what they like, I see no problem in asking them to look into what you do. But dogging their music never has good results.

I've found if you want to talk about Religion, Politics, and Music. Don't go into it trying to attack someone else's viewpoints. Just ask them to look at yours and do likewise.

Just because you're not from CA doesn't mean you're not a flake or nut, either.

Well said.

I happen to have voted for Bush, twice, moved here from California 5 years ago, after having lived there for 15. While here for the last 5 years, I've started to listen to and enjoy Country music. Hell, I'll even watch NASCAR is football isn't on. Although I grew up in PG County from 68 - 75, I would drop everything, pack my family up and move back to California, and try to re-elect Arnold

One thing that doesn't change? I ALWAYS have, and ALWAYS will, pull for the REDSKINS. No matter where I live, what I listen to, and who I vote for.

I'd rather be a flake or a nut than a bible toting, right wing religious zealot falling into "lowest common denominator" catagories all accross the board.
Notice I launched no personal attacks, just a humorous joke about country music and a couple of you got a little butt hurt. Lack of thick skin is what makes the country weak as well as the worst president in american history.
