Well I've decided to buck the trend and make some big [pointless] post at 1,999 rather than wait for 2000, because that's how I roll damnit. I was going to try to re-write a song like some of you guys have done, but I figured I'd just let tiny little Prince do the singing and dancing. Hope you enjoy.

We're wrapping up what as been a rather uninspired preseason tonight and I couldn't be happier. For the first two games I kept up the mantra of "this is only the preseason; Gibbs rarely wins/shows anything during these games." But after the game on Saturday I have to admit that I'm a little nervous for the regular season. The team is installing a new offense with new receivers and I really hope they've made the adjustments well in practice. Let me say though, that although I'm freaked out I'm not worried that Gibbs and his incredible staff can't get it done. I think the man's bling speaks for itself. I guess I need to be a little more optimistic. I'll keep praying to my picture of me and Art Monk from 1992 every morning, and I'll keep dreaming of that wonderful trip to Miami every night.

This season will prove to be tough because of the team's schedule, but I think they'll still win the division and get a first round bye. Since the season will be so tough the team will be battle tested and ready for a great run all the way to the big game.

Throughout the season Portis will be firing on all cylinders like Priest Holmes of a few years ago, and Cooley will make everyone forget that any other TEs even play in the NFC. Moss will lead a receiving corps that will make who ever is QBing (I hope Brunell holds up until the playoffs, but it's a long road to get there) look like a god! Our O-line is going to steam-roll everyone as we run out the clock starting in the 3rd quarter.

The defense is going to be more of the same this season. That is to say, more of the same badass-ness (I can make up words if I want to) that we have all come to know and love. Carter could be the missing piece that our D-line has needed to make it truly special and he will take a ton of pressure off our linebackers and DTs. Griffin is going to gobble up running backs like Randy Thomas goobles up whole sides of beef. Marcus Washington will be at least involved in the discussion for Defensive Player of the Year if not he hands down winner. No one will be able to snub him from the Pro Bowl again! Our secondary, while it may get burned here or there, will scare teams to the point that terry glenn's short arms become the norm. Sean Taylor will have at least 3TDs off of take-aways and people will take drives rather than get hit by him.

I see good things for this season despite this preseason's flaws. It's been fun BSing with you guys all summer, and it will be even more fun celebrating the Redskin's 4th Super Bowl championship! I look forward to meeting some of you all at games this year! I guess I should get back to work at some point today!
