Noble, an inspiring story

How can you not root for this guy? To come back so quickly after such a nasty injury speaks volumes about his work ethic and love for the game.

I liked him better with that wild man beard though!

Brandon Noble was a classmate of my wife in high school here in Virginia Beach. She and I watched the preseason game when he was grotesquely injured. Just about everybody in the room watching that game knew his season, if not his career was over.

If he makes it into the starting lineup this season, he's got to be considered one of the contenders for come-back player of the year in the NFL.

That guy is a real fighter.

Have to agree...very impressed! Also, someone (I think Haley) was quoted as saying how smart he was, predicting the play before it started. Hmmm, a extremely hard worker that is smart....Is he a Gibbs player or what???

Just wish he still had the mountainman beard!

It's pretty amazing how modern medicine and rehab can heal serious injuries so fast. When Noble got hurt last year I was thinking his career was over, not even counting on him coming back this soon. He could be a big motivation factor for the whole OL this year if he comes back close to 100%.

I wonder how much they are going to count on Noble, and if this will affect them going out and signing another DT. Even when Noble was healthy he wasnt an elite player, just one of those solid blue collars guys that gets the job done. I still think if someone good becomes available that we should take the opportunity to upgrade the position and let Noble play backup for a while so he doesnt risk reinjuring it before its fully healed.

Agreed. Even with Noble at 100%, which he won't be for awhile, the problem at D-line isn't solved. As hard a worker Noble is, we still need more of a playmaker at the position.

Something tells me that we're going to have to make do with what we have. The June 1 cuts haven't produced anything that made the F.O. jump. And with this F.O., that really says something.

This may be a sign that this FO is no longer in charge, which may be a good thing.

Getting someone to start over him and rotate him in a few times in the game would be the ideal situation. However, that situation seems a little far fetched at this point, so we are going to have to bank on his recovery to be speedy. Otherwise, there will be a significant drop off in production
