Just a few comments about your list:
- Hamden probably will be on practice squad. 3 QB's will be among the 53. - Very likely fewer DL and OL slots. - More LB slots.

OK, it was for the Cardinals, but he did play. And since the 3rd string QB doesn't get any practice snaps anyway, it may as well be Tupa.

BrudLee, ABSOLUTELY no way the Redskins go with only 2 QB's. First, Joe Gibbs will always keep AT LEAST 3 QB's on his roster. Secondly, the 3rd QB on your 53-man roster is a free active player each week in addition to the 45 you are allowed. He can only play if the first 2 get injured, but Gibbs does not take chances. He will not throw away the free spot. Very few NFL teams do waste it, and the Redskins under Gibbs certainly will not be one of them. And lastly, I do not think Gibbs would waive Hasselbeck or put him on the practice squad. If he did either, he would almost certainly be signed by another team with all of the QB demand there is right now in the league.

hasselbeck should be the starter...jk. I agree, he should be 3rd string, but we should still keep Gibran on the PS

Big C, I agree 100%, and think that is certainly what will happen. I do not think anyone will sign Hamden off the PS as they would Hasselbeck, so he would be safe there. In order to sign a PS player from another team, he has to go on the new team's 53-man roster.

Hog,
Your point is well taken with Hamden, however when I looked at the roster, the skins currently only have 11 linebackers, 8 I have mentioned above, and these 3. I am not sure they would keep any of these LB instead of OL/DL. Campbell, Khary Lemons, Devin Strother, Billy

Don't be so sure he won't keep any of those 3 - I would bet he keeps 2 of them (unless new LB's show up). I don't know which ones are performing on special teams, but they usually have some extra backup LB's for the ST. Your backup OL's do not work well on kick coverages, so they do not go 11 deep with them.

By the way we have gone through quarterbacks throughout the past few years, we should keep all 3. Hasselbeck is a quality #2 in most systems. If we had crappy QB's, I would understand, but even Hamden is a quality #3. Not to mention that Brunell still has to prove that he's 100% back from the DL.

I think the fact that Gibbs signed a 34 y.o. QB to a $42 million 6-year deal when we have a budding star in Ramsey at Qb and an okay backup in T.H. speaks volumes about how much he values the QB position. Therefore I can't see us going into the season with just 2 QBs. MB, PR, and TH will all be on the roster.
I don't think Sultan is going to make the team. I see Gibbs taking the Rock over the Sultan. I know that we are going to deal a wideout (See, Rod Gardner) for a DT or DE. Ade Jimoh better pack his bags, he's not going to be in D.C. with Smoot, Springs, Harris, Brown, and Bauman in front of him. I pray Coles' toe is fully healed by training camp. I think having 5 or more TEs on the roster is crazy, even in Gibbs' system. I think Brunell/Ramsey, Coles and Portis are going to be a mean trio. I think I'm in love with Joe Gibbs. |

You guys are all wrong, isnt it obvious that since Rod Gardner drops so many passes that hes just going to start auditioning for the 3rd string QB spot. He does have the best QB rating on our team.
On a more serious note, I think we are going to have an abundence of TE, HB and FB. And because of it we are goign to run a lot of situational football in my opinion.
