Re: Taylor
If anything he is way underrated. This year he has had to cover the whole field, and mop up for AA.
It is more likely that the casual NFL fan will know about Roy Williams over Sean Taylor.

Re: Taylor
It does seem that Sean has regressed a little this year. His coverage doesn't seem to be as good but you could argue that the defense isn't putting him in situations to succeed.
It is annoying that they waste the talents of their best player. |

Re: Taylor
i just hope they don't let him go to another team like pierce, smoot, etc.
i hope to god they give him a generous contract extension and make him our franchise player. he is well worth the money. if they let him leave, i don't know if i can call my self a redskin fan, it would suck that bad

The end of this article might help explain some of Taylor's difficulties this year: Redskins Pay Price For Moves - washingtonpost.com

Re: Taylor
Skins faithful seem to make Taylor out to be a football god, which he isn't. To be honest he is good at best and far from amazing.

Re: Taylor
I hope that having both of our starting CB's will allow our Safeties to play the game that they're used to. Hopefully our D can step up and make a stand towards the end of the season, since they decided to take the beginning off...

Also, have you seen him force a fumble. He has a special type of awareness where he can make a solid tackle, plus rip out the ball at the same time. I have witnessed that at least twice this season. Finally, I have seen him cover Randy Moss, TO, Jeremy Shockey, and various others in one-on-one situations and hold his own. In fact, I distinctly remember him completely jumping OVER Jeremy Shockey to break up a pass. He also tackled Randy Moss, who was bobbling a ball in the air, and never took his eyes off the ball. Taylor made a great tackle while watching and batting the ball away.

Re: Taylor
i hope he doesnt end up like lavar, with people knowing he has the physical ability. that ability. just not translating to sucess on the field. i know me, personally, have expected bigger and better things out of sean taylor. right now he is just a good nfl player

Re: Taylor
With the state of our D, Taylor and Arch were having to cover way to much. Last time I looked, they were the leading tacklers on the team................that's a problem

Re: Taylor
taylor hasnt been able to make the bug plays this year. there is a reason behind this he is playing with archelta both are the hard hitting types of safteys. taylor has speed but i think u can use him better with more of a cover safety back there with him like a ryan clark from last year
