What Happened to Marcus Washington?
What Happened to Marcus Washington? He is one of my favorite players on the team, last year it seemed like he was in on every play, now he is nowhere near the ball and you hardly hear his number called. I think he had one tackle yesterday. He and Taylor are the heart and soul of the D, and it seems they are both having bad years.

Re: What Happened to Marcus Washington?
Simple. They don't run plays at him.

The same thing that's happened to the rest of the D. When you don't play well together you don't play well as an individual.

He's getting blocked with the other 10 guys on the Skins "D"

Re: What Happened to Marcus Washington?
Maybe messing with the defense's chemistry from last year really is the problem. We had a great D, and then we overpaid for several chumps like Carter and second-stringer Archuleta.

Re: What Happened to Marcus Washington?
They run away from him. Holdman is a serious wekaness. Almost like Brunell. He doesn't screw up a lot but he can't make plays and Williams' scheme calls for play making LBs. We need to upgrade there next year for sure. Hopefully Rocky is the answer.

Re: What Happened to Marcus Washington?
I'll take the blame for him not being as good as he has been in the past. I went out and bought his jersey this offseason. Apparently I'm like the kiss of death for the Skins.
Sorry fellas.

I knew I was stating the obvious. Purely for effect.

Re: What Happened to Marcus Washington?
As for Marcus Washington. He's the focus of the D now. There's no LaVar on the other side freeing him up.

There was no LaVar for most of last year either though

Re: What Happened to Marcus Washington?
I'd like to see if McIntosh could be a playmaker on the other side to keep offenses honest. Holdman is a nice backup, but nothing more. Marcus hasn't made plays even when the opportunity has been there. Two dropped INTs right in his hands yesterday (including one yesterday) haven't helped cure our turnover drought.
