Viewpoint: Who would you bring in as the new GM?
Just thought since our season is in the dumps why not look forward to the future. If Gibbs/Synder decided to bring in a new GM who would you like to see and why? My vote is for Scott Pioli if here were available and I think he would bring some fiscal responsibility/draft picks that would move the team in the right direction.
Your pick for new GM and why.... |

Um I would bring in our old coach Gibbs. Oh wait...
I like continuity and all. A new GM would probably mean blowing things up. I don't think we've reached the blowing things up point yet. |

Is Beathard available? I mean, since we're getting the band back together and everything...

Are we talking realistically based on who's available or are we just going to toss out a wish list of names?

Re: Viewpoint: Who would bring in as the new GM?
Bill B's second thread pimpin' Scott Pioli, who is not available. Someone really wants to get Pioli in Washington. Or is it that someone wants to get someone out of New England?? Could it be that Bill B is in fact Bill Belichick??
I don't think the general business model is going to change. No outsider is going to come in and tell Vinny Joe Snyder to be fiscally conservative. The key isn't to stop spending money necessarily, but to spend it wisely. That's why I think any changes that should be made have to be a the root level, with the scouting department.

I'd imagine we'd have to poach an assistant from the office of a really well-respected GM. And I don't know too many assistants.
Unless we're talking Charley Casserley, who is available (gack).
