Re: Springs
Yeah Everson Walls (former Cowboys CB) is donating his kidney to Shawn's father Ron (former Cowboys RB). Nice gesture

Re: Springs
Shawn wanted to do it, but his dad wouldn't let him because it would end his career.

Would it really end his career? I know Alonzo Mourning didn't give up a kidney, but his kidneys pretty much stopped working and he was able to come back sucessfully. |

Re: Springs
No, if you donate a kidney, you are done, because if you're remaining one gets f'd up, you are dead.

I herd Shawn Springs was going to donate a testicle to AA so he could pass as man in the shower.

Re: Springs
It depends on what you consider successfully. Sure he came back, but he was a shadow of his former self. Same with Sean Elliot (San Antonio forward). Springs doesn't have the time left to try a comeback. He's too old. If he did it, his career would be over.

Re: Springs
Ok now you see I heard wrong then. Because heard that the AP repoted that when Jason Witten snatched AA's balls from him, he had ripped too much of AA's sack away so he wouldn't have enough to support said ball. I heard rumors there was talk of skin grafting to replace the missing scrot but I haven't seen or heard anything lately about BallGate '06. You'll know as soon as I know...

Re: Springs
yeah, this was in the local paper the other day. ron springs is a native of williamsburg (my hometown) and shawn springs was born here, so its a big deal to this area. im just glad he got a donor, and that was noble of springs to offer to end his career to give up a kidney

Re: Springs
Yeah on a serious note, my sister gave my aunt one of her kidneys about 2 years ago. If she wasn't a match then i was next in line to get tested. It was pretty kick ass knowing that my sister had a hand i saving a life. I was really proud of her.
