Re: New NBA Brawl
Melo is such a pussy he like slapped him in the face and then jumped back. I hope he gets more than 10 games but he wont bc he is a superstar. I hate him and this just adds to it.
See the video ESPN.com - NBA - Recap - Nuggets at Knicks

Re: New NBA Brawl
The NBA needs fights to get along and viewers, just like hockey.

Re: New NBA Brawl
It was funny watching 5'9" Nate Robinson throwing punches and going after people...then he got tackled into the cameramen by a MUCH larger Nugget.

Re: New NBA Brawl
I didn't know that Jeffries had that kind of emotion in him. The whole time he was in DC I think his expression changed twice.

SI.com - NBA - Nuggets' Anthony out 15 games - Monday December 18, 2006 1:05PM
So 7 players are going to be suspended, including Anthony for 15 games. Neat.

Re: New NBA Brawl
That's just hilarious. When was the last time in PROFESSIONAL Football you have every seen a brawl? That's right, it doesn't happen and may have NEVER happened in PRO football. Why is that? Are they more disciplined thugs in the NFL? Fear of losing their jobs? Someone help me understand why this is the only professional league that doesn't have these problems!

Re: New NBA Brawl
If I were commisioner, my punishment for fighting on-court would be as follows:
1st offense: 1 year suspension 2nd offense: Life-time suspension I mean, I would have basically no tolerance for fighting -- whatsoever. I think 15 games is too light. The message being sent is: we don't like it, but we'll tolerate it.

Re: New NBA Brawl
That is a really good point TAF. That is also the case in soccer, search soccer fights on YouTube and you will be shocked, now that is crazy.

Of course Karl should have benched his players because they easily had the game. I mean why keep your star players in the game? It is is not only insulting to the other team, but you are risking injury. However, this does not justify the threat and action by the Knicks. I mean The nugs have the right to play however they feel, even thought it might be bad sportmanship. No one has the right to foul hard because of that though. Thomas should get more than a fine, because he is a leader and he should suffer more.

Re: New NBA Brawl
They were saying on PTI and ATH that Karl probably kept his guys in there because he's Larry Brown's "boy" and therefore he wanted to embarass the Knicks in MSG. I thought that was just another interesting nugget to this whole story (sorry, I couldn't resist).
