Re: Xirius Radio
i don't think they have any monopoly issues (am/fm still work fine, as do cd/mp3 players), and the savings on satellites alone would make it a good idea.

XM shareholders are going to make a killing tomorrow ($3 per share).

Re: Xirius Radio
From the press release on the Sirius website, consumers will be able to pick and choose their programming options (a la carte)...I'm guessing that all the sports that have contracts with one or the other will be available. But as stated, they have to be approved first.
And yes, while there is still AM/FM, Ipods, CDs, etc., Satellite Radio provides another constant media outlet, no matter where you are in the country, you'll get the same channels as you would at home. AM/FM and HD Radio can't provide that. And I look at it this way, for the price of 1 CD, or 3 $tarbuck$ high tier coffees, you can have a month's worth of programming.

Re: Xirius Radio
Just don't take my NFL and Howard Stern away and I will be happy with this deal!

Re: Xirius Radio
One covers the Redskins (although not nearly enough) and other NFL teams 24x7. The other doesn't.
End of story. Long live Sirius!! |
