More Tragedy in Denver: RB Nash Dies

ESPN.com - NFL - Tragedy hits Broncos: tailback Nash collapses, dies

Denver Broncos reserve tailback Damien Nash collapsed and died Saturday evening after an appearance in a charity basketball game in St. Louis.

What an awful offseason it's been for the Broncos. RIP Damien

RIP Damien Nash. That's so horrible, that this could happen to one organization in a matter of months. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Did they ever catch the guy(s) that shot and killed CB Darrent Williams?

Nope. But have you heard the latest? It just got really weird.

"A daylong standoff ended Friday evening when Denver police shot tear gas into the home of a high-profile defense attorney and found a man's body.

Police would not identify the man or say how he died.

But friends said they believe he is Michael Andre, 38, who often defended people charged with drug possession or who worked in the adult-entertainment industry. Andre represented suspected gang member Willie D. Clark, whom police describe as a "person of interest" in the murder of Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams."

Re: More Tragedy in Denver: RB Nash Dies

It sucks for the guys in that Locker Room right now. I'm sure football is the last thing on their minds.

Unfortuanely for us, next year the sports media is going to be all over the Denver Broncos and how they are a team of destiny. We are never going to hear the end of this...

Re: More Tragedy in Denver: RB Nash Dies

Not to jack this or tarnish Nash in any way...I have no reason to, I've never seen or heard of him being involved in anything bad like Darrent Williiams...

But, I wonder if the league should be looking into supplements or weightrooms. We're seeing VERY young guys just dropping...Nash this year, a 23-year old from the Niners last year.

I'm wondering if there was an unforseen effect from something. 24 is just too young to die like that without a known genetic or already-diagnosed heart problem.

Very sad.

orioles pitcher a couple years ago... it happens, and you gotta figure their either taking something, or they had undiagnosed heart problems of some kind.

Re: More Tragedy in Denver: RB Nash Dies

Well he was at a charity event celebrating his 25-year old brother's recent heart transplant. So it very well could be genetic
