He's 30, but I'm sure that he will get a TON of attention on the FA market. I'd hate to pick up two aging vets on the downsides of their careers in Fletcher and Porter, but he's a tempting FA.

I like him but he carries a huge price tag... fletcher seems like he may fly a bit under the radar and be a better deal...

True but he's 30 and carrying a large cap figure. The article also points to his penchant for shooting his mouth off and that not meshing with the Steelers' image.

I was talking to Gmanc about this the other day, telling him that Porter might be an option in the coming days.
Gmanc hates Porter, perhaps more than any player in the NFL. So I say pass on Porter
