Well, I am enjoying a great year of baseball, but if its not for you then I can see why football seems so far away. Pre-season is just around the corner. I am usually excited to see any football game on at first, but I get bored with pre-season quickly.

I think baseball is only fun to watch if you played it for a while. You have to play it to know how hard it is to hit a well pitched ball.On the other hand, I can understand if some people think its boring.
I cant wait to see someone in a redskins uni out on the field.I would even settle for watching the fourth quarter of a pre season game right now.

I'll watch some baseball or atleast baseball tonight for the highlights. I'll definitely try to watch most of the game if it involves the padres, but thats about it.

You might have a point. I took my sister-in-law to her first baseball game ever at Camden Yards yesterday. She liked the stadium, and at least pretended to be interested as I explained the intricacies of the game to her. But I imagine for her most of it was just people standing around. Meanwhile, I'm watching the pitcher, seeing where the infield is positioned, noticing batter's tendencies, checking out the different ptiches. All the things I did while playing in high school.

I like watching Lance in France, but of course nothing compares to football season. News is slow now too, I just thank God I have the NFL network and can watch NFL replay a few times a week. Tides me over AND they are really great games from the last few seasons.

Yeah I used to spend a lot of time as a kid in La Jolla so I'm pretty excited by the success of the Padres this year.

I wish I could go to a game at the new stadium but Jack Murphy stadium was also pretty nice(really good tailgating.) I hope they can keep the success up cuz I'd like them to contend so they'll be somewhat active in the free agent and trade markets.
Even though he didn't hit many hrs, Tony Gwynn is probably my favorite baseball player of all time cuz he was also a really nice guy who turned down more lucrative offers to stay in with the Padres for his entire career. It's too bad he had so many knee problems the last couple years of his career and the strike in 94' messed up his very real chance at hitting .400.

Baseball is holding me over, espcially since my team ( St. Louis ) is whoopin ass right now. On the football front though, there is absolutley nothing. Only a few weeks to go my friend.

Playing Madden is a nice way to help get that football fix in the offseason.

i guess its the same way with soccer, i love to watch and play soccer. most ppl dont understand what kind of shape you have to be in to be running for 90+ mins and strike a ball so hard and well. just how it is in america tho.
