Why wasn't this done last year at this time? Similar to the Carson Palmer/John Kitna situation?

Also we need to bring in a young qb to groom along with JC. Does Casey Bramlet have any talent?

Very rarely do you find a coach with a veteran situation at quarterback going right to the rookie -- Kitna/Palmer is one scenario, also in Minnesota when Dennis Green went with Daunte Culpepper even after Jeff George had a great season with Cris Carter and Jake Reed.

Gibbs is not the coach to throw caution to the wind like that. Never has been. Had it not been for Brunell's moderate resurgence in 2005, Campbell might have been the starter in week one of '06. Success the year before with #8 set that back a bit. Let the debate rage on as to whether it was the right choice.
