Arenas out 2-3 Months

The playoff hopes for the Wizards were pretty much shot when Butler went down, but now it's a certainty.

Re: Arenas out 2-3 Months

this blows,,, I've been following the wizards for a long time and finally this season looked like they were gonna get deep in the playoffs...........right
our starters now jaminson,,daniels,,thomas,,stevenson(can't see me replica hand gesture of john cena) and hayes, and they still need a win to clinch a playoff berth...well there is always next year.

This really sucks but in a way it shows the weaknesses of the Wizards. With only 2-3 options of offense a team cannot win the in NBA. We need a good big man and some D to really go far.

There is no team in the league that could lose it's two top players and still play well. They ARE weak up front but that has nothing to do with this. They're finuto.

Gilbert seems like a pretty superstitious guy. Do you think he'll blame Eddie Jordan for the injury, seeing how this was the only game he didn't start all season?

I doubt that will be the case, but you never know with 0.

Yeah, agreed, take any team's top-2 away and see what happens. I already bought playoff tickets for 1st home playoff game, ARGH poor Wiz

Re: Arenas out 2-3 Months

This makes me sick to my stomach. Not only am I a huge Wiz fan, but I am in the playoffs for my fantasy league right now and Gil is my best player. Makes my chances rather slim.

I agree that our chances of getting out of the first round of the playoffs are looking as slim as the anorexic olsen twin, but hopefully Blatche will get some good experience once he is back later this week.

As sad as I am about this, I know my dad is even sadder. I think the last time he missed a Wizards game Carter was president.

It's time the world got to know the name DeShawn Stevenson!

Seriously though, this hurts because now more than ever we have to depend on Jarvis Hayes...and he sorta sucks

There were Wizards games in the '70s?

This blows big time. Losing Caron was bad enough, but this kills the season.

Who knows, maybe Coach Jordan's system can sustain the team with Jamison and Daniels running the show. Etan was been great lately too.

It would be amazing if we can make it to the Finals so Gil can come back, but I don't see that happening. The East is weak this year though.

Oh, and when Gil went down, my lead in the fantasy Semifinals disappeared that same night. I really have to fight to make the Championship this weekend...I'm playing the #1-ranked team.
