Trade up to Trade down
Since I still havent seen anyone talk about this scenario I guess I'll post a thread on it since I haven't had a good ole verbal ass pounding lately. But anyways I do think this is possible. Here it goes.
Since the redskins want more picks, the Lions want Gaines Adams at a better value and the Falcons would love to have home town favorite CJ I think this is what we do. (if the raiders take JR which seems likely since Shell is gone and Moss and Porter have a head coach they will have there way with) DV=Draft Value 1st The Skins outbid the Buc's for detroits #2 (2600) pick by sending them the #6 (1600), Shawn Springs(520), Brandon LLoyd (270), next years #2 (?400?) and maybe another late pick. If you recall earlier in the post season Gibb's said that he had Archuleta, Springs, and LLoyd in his plans for the 07 season. He also visited with 2 specific players during the Coaches meeting in Arizona (springs and LLoyd). Arch is gone and i wonder whos next. The Lions also now get Adams at better value, a good veteran corner, a compliment to Roy Williams and some other crap. 2nd We let the Bucs and Falcons battle it out and end up letting the falcons win since will get more picks out of them since they have the number 8. We trade the #2 (2600) for Atl's #8 (1400), #39 (510), #44 (460), and #75 (215). We then can get Landry at better value and lots of other stud muffins in Rounds 2 and 3. If your wondering why LLoyd and Springs have draft value next to them thats what I personally think there worth in terms of draft picks. This is mere speculation and what I've been having wet dreams about for the last 2 weeks. But you gotta admit it is a little possible. What do you guys think. I'm sensitive so take an easy. |

Re: Trade up to Trade down
In theory it's not a bad idea. Problem is that we have to depend on a lot of other teams to make that work. It's hard enough just working with one other team

Re: Trade up to Trade down
That would be great if it happened. IF. We'd really need the stars to align for something like that to happen.

Re: Trade up to Trade down
Can't trade Lloyd. It would put us over the cap for 2007.
Far fetched scenario of course, but if you completely ignore reality, this would be great for the Skins!

I love your idea. It could work, but it wont! The Bucs have like 6 picks the first day, so they have more ammo. And if you wanna incorporate players, then Im sure they have some people that they will unload. We just dont have the ammo to compete. The best thing that can happen are: 1)Trade with Cleveland - 6th overall, Ladell Betts, and the 6th round pick we got from Chicago(archuleta deal) for the 3rd overall and a 3rd rounder 2) Stay at 6th overall, and wait for Brady Quinn to fall, and then see who will trade up to get him or anyone else that has fallen out of the top 5 3) We trade our 6th overall to Denver/New England for their two first rounders 4) We draft Captain Planet!!! As you can see, he aint no "weak @ss b!tch"YouTube - three six mafia- weak azz bitch

Re: Trade up to Trade down
I heard a rumor that the Bucs are offering every first day pick to move up to get Johnson. We cant compete with that.
When you have a guy like Johnson, you throw the chart out the window. Look at the Eli trade, its going to be like taht.
