NFLEuropa: I watch and follow

Call me a fool but I've been paying attention to NFLEuropa [fromally NFLEurope] for a couple of years. To me it's better than college ball but of course not at the NFL level. You see their offenses playing better than most defenses but you see some great plays.

Well, this year I get to see a couple of games because it's on the NFL Network on Saturdays this year.

My team of the [6] Six in the league is the Amsterdam Admirals but this year they got beat in their first [2] games. Grrrr!!!!!

Does anyone else watch or pay attention?

Thoughts on NFLEuropa?

Thanks
peace

Oh.....to keep in line with my standard SBF post here are the Admiral "Dance Team" [they don't call them cheerleaders over there] last week during the game.

I check the box scores to see how Redskins playing over there are doing. I used to watch when it first debuted many years ago, but not really much anymore

100,000 screaming passionate alumni versus 3000 drunk Germans in a stadium designed to hold 80K. I think I'll stick with my college ball.

SBF, sorry buddy but that was a bad example.

Most NFL cheerleaders are fairly homely too. Certain teams have attractive squads, unfortunately, we're not one of them.

I wouldn't say we have the best, but we are FAR from having the worst.

I was sitting in the 2nd row for a game up in Buffalo a few years ago and I have to say, their cheerleaders, The 'Buffalo Jills,' were straight up f'ugly.

Re: NFLEuropa: I watch and follow

I watched these games way back when they were the World League of American Football in the early '90s, but it's boring now. I'd rather watch an Arena game if that's all we have in the offseason. Actually, NFL Replay beats them all.

World League of American Football/National Football League Europe Uniforms

I liked the Barcelona Dragons and Orlando Thunder because I liked their uniforms. The Birmingham Fire had great looking uni's too. I had the whole set of World League cards (Pro Set I believe).

The Dragons and the London Monarchs were the best teams and they had a nice rivalry going, always good games to watch.

Re: NFLEuropa: I watch and follow

The Frankfurt Galaxy are the only remaining original team.

6 teams is pretty pathetic now, but I'll watch and look for Redskins occasionally. I really have no other reason to watch, the quality of the play is pretty bad.

I was a Dragons fan as well. But couldn't help but root for Stan Gelbaugh (Maryland alum). I watched WLAF for the first couple years, then grew weary of it.

From time to time, if I see it's on, I'll stop and watch for a little bit.

Re: NFLEuropa: I watch and follow

Watching NFL Europe is like watching an NFL pre-season game consisting of nothing but the 3rd and 4th quarter players. It's excruciating.

To each his own I guess. But I find it to be pretty dreadful myself.
