Eagles Sign Ian Scott

C'mon Philly! You guys are already so loaded at D-line! Now we lose a guy I wanted to a division rival. Dammit.

They just reported it on NFL Live. Can't find a link yet....

JLC said he had no indication we were interested in Scott. The staff must feel good about our DTs.

I never said the Skins wanted him, I said I wanted him. He's young and has a great motor, and I thought he would have added good depth behind oft injured Griffin and Salave'a. Plus he goes to a division rival who is already loaded up at D-line.

I wasn't implying that you said the Skins wanted him, I was just saying that the coaches must really think DT is ok as is, cause Scott would seem a good reasonably priced pickup.

It does suck that the iggles got him.

I don't get it. There must be something about Scott the Skins coaches didn't like.

Do they really think Joe Salave'a is better than this guy?

I sure hope they're right ...

I know! I'm so envious of their D-line depth

Monte Reagor
Broderick Bunkley
Mike Peterson
Dareen Howard
Trent Cole
Javon Kearse
Jerome McDougle
Sam Rayburn
Darwin Walker
Ian Scott

And that's not even the whole list... Ughh

You're right. I must have been looking at an old roster. They did trade Walker to Bills, but they also signed Monte Reagor from Indy...

I don't think they will be much on the other side of the ball. Soon as McNONADS breaks a toenail they will be done. F**K PHILLY!

Salave'a may be behind Golston right now.

If S. Rice is available they better jump. We have to get some pressure off the edge.

I think Golston is in for a GOOD year. Golston could very well be ahead of Sal.

PFT.com:

EAGLES SIGN SCOTT

Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that the Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to terms with former Bears defensive tackle Ian Scott.

Scott, per Schefter, will receive a one-year, $1 million contract.

The four-year veteran started in seven regular-season games in 2006 for the NFC champions and in all postseason contests, including the Super Bowl.

The Bears have also lost defensive tackle Alphonso Boone to free agency. It's suddenly a position of need for the Bears; Tommie Harris missed much of the season with a leg injury, and Tank Johnson currently is in the clink.

not to argue, but who on this list actually scares you? our line was god awful last year, and half of these guys couldn't start on the skins

Javon Kearse if healthy is damn good, Trent Cole is a beast- he had 5 sacks his 1st year in the league, 8 sacks last season in his 2nd year, I think he's primed for a monster season. Broderick Bunkley and Mike Patterson are both young first round talents at DT (although neither have done much yet)...

Anyway, I said I was envious of their depth, I didn't say they scared me.
