Pats?
I live in boston and if the pats fans here werent cocky enough with just tom brady, having randy moss has them saying we shouldnt even play the season. Can somebody tell me theres a chance that the patriots will be like us with all these signings and just suck?

Re: Pats?
Moss will implode the team. Not even the famous grey hoodie can change him.

Re: Pats?
Well, it's more of 50-50.. Depends on Moss, if he implodes then you will be smiling.. But if Moss plays then all you hear is nagging from Pats fans..

Re: Pats?
Tom Brady is going to break his leg in the first pre-season game.

Re: Pats?
thats funny. 10 years ago no one would ever admit to liking the patriots. or for that fact, the red sox, either

Re: Pats?
redskins 30 pats 24 ot
game ends on a laron landry interception in which he returns it 18 yards before latering the ball back to sean taylor who then returns it the rest of the way which is 51 yards for the game winning td and moss walks off half way into this

Re: Pats?
yes, I've posted about the same prediction in some other threads. I'm not saying that they will suck, but I think there in for a tougher time than everybody seems to think. they've changed their formula for getting personnel and it will take some adjusting to.
PLus they have let a no. of vets go over the last couple of years & now they're bringing in 7-8 new vets, so you have to think chemistry could at the very least take them some time. 2007 Pats go 9-7 and miss the playoffs. (Brady might be due for an injury too) |

Re: Pats?
I do think they're going to have their worst defense in years and that's going to cost them more than a couple of games that they should otherwise win.
But, I don't really think Moss is going to be the headcase/cancer that many people are already predicting. I don't think he's ever been as bad as TO and remember how he did in his first season in Philly. I really think that Moss is desperate to win big so that he can secure his place as one of the top all time WRs. I do like the fact that they've gone all out getting free agents and that their top draft pick could be the next Pacman but the media is still all over their collective sacks. If they win it all I wonder if people will still say that you can't build a great team through free agency.

Re: Pats?
The Pats just because they have made a splash in signing free agents still have their share of young and talented players. If I'm correct they had something like 9 draft pick just this year so its not like they traded them all away like we did. I expect they will have a good season and one of the top teams to beat. It also seems like allot of people around here are spendining allot of time worring about what going on with the Pats this year. I think this is like the 3rd or 4th thread about them.

Re: Pats?
If Brady and Moss get on the same page early, I think that offense is going to be very hard to stop.
