So Where Does Daunte Culpepper End Up??
This thread is kind of a partner to Skinsfan_nn's thread about Trent Green to Miami being imminent.
If his rehab goes as scheduled, Daunte will be ready to go by training camp. Obviously he and Trent Green won't both be Dolphins, especially with them drafting Beck in the early 2nd round. Other teams in desperate need of QB's addressed their issue in the draft- Cleveland, Detroit, Oakland... So where will this guy who tossed 39 TDs and amassed 4000+ yards just two seasons ago end up? Buffalo? Chicago? It'll be interesting to see how this one plays out.

Hey GM.... I don't know where this guy will land. How about this one back in Minnesota. LOL they need a QB.. Who else out there would be looking. I don't think he will land in Chicago and the Bills seem set at the QB spot with Losman. He still could end up in Oakland I would think unless there are ready to start JR now. The GIANTS.. Eli sucks.

I don't think it matters because he will never rekindle what he once had. Id be surprised if he ended up in the NFC east. I think he might stay in Miami as a back up to T Green.

What about the Bucs?
Not sure on their cap numbers, but they acquired a few veteran guys already, why not one more!

Re: So Where Does Daunte Culpepper End Up??
I see him staying in Miami. If he goes anywhere, I can see himending up in Cleveland to pull a Mark Brunell until Quinn is ready. I do not think that Oakland would sign him because they just signed Mccown for that purpose. I especially cannot see him back in Minnesota after the bad blood of his departure from there. I hate to say it, but the only other job that he could take is as someones back up. Until he gets back on the field and prooves himself again, he has limited marketability.

Yeah, I guess his best bet is Oakland, although it doesn't really look like there are any spots available for him at this point.

Re: So Where Does Daunte Culpepper End Up??
I have to agree with RMS, I don't care where Dante goes, as long as he doesn't come here. He is too slow anymore to be a starter. He was the stud because he had Chris Carter, Moss and co to throw to when he rose to the top of the QB food chain. Carter has been gone for awhile and Moss alone was not the threat he was when Carter and co was still around. In short, Dante would be a waste of $$$$$$$$$ and a backup at best anymore.

Oak signed the Det. back-up to take the beating until Russell is ready. If Culpepper gets cut he might not even get picked up. Sad but true. |

Re: So Where Does Daunte Culpepper End Up??
yeah culpeppers career has taken some unfortunate turns from where he was a few years ago . . . palmer had surgery last year and started alil slow (i still won my fantasy league thoo!) but he seems to be fully recovered now and i expect culpepper to be healthier this year . . . i didnt see much of culpepper last year but if i was the fins i wouldnt get rid of him just yet, they seem to not be able to upgrade their team year in year out and i dont see trent being the solution to their problems

Re: So Where Does Daunte Culpepper End Up??
I could see him signing with the cowboys.
Their new coach, who's name currently escapes me, doesn't have the same ties to romo that old fat ass did so he might keep him on a shorter leash.
