Did you mean idea? Cause here I am thinking ides of March and trying to figure out what this thread is really about

As for what it's really about, Landry shouldn't ask for the exact contract. He should ask for what the market dictates he get

Re: Would this be a good idea for Landry?

1) Sean Taylors contract is a steal for the skins and he got somewhat hosed compared to other rookies drafted around him.

2) Expecting to get Landry for the same price is ridiculous. Every year rookie contracts go up. The NFL is about the 2nd contract, not the first.

Earthquake..... do you type with your feet?

While I don't mind spelling errors here and there, you've been known to slaughter sentence after sentence. It's not a big deal, but it's kind of starting to grind my gears.

Here's a good idea. Download the newest Mozilla web browser. It comes with spell check built in, so while you're typing in the forums, the little red underline will come up and you'll be able to spell everything right. YAY!

I think Landry should just sign for the rookie minimum, that way no one will be jealous and we will have more money available under the cap.

Re: Would this be a good idea for Landry?

ST was a steal. I'm thinking ST will probably walk after the whole contract stuff that went down between him and the Skins.

LL will most definitely sign a more lucrative contract.

commas, periods? Landry will get as much as he can. they have the rookie pool money alloted, so i think its almost pre-determined what he can get

Re: Would this be a good idea for Landry?

6% over what Vernon Davis got last year. I guess the particulars are where it could get hung up. Yeah, ST has been unhappy with his contract for a while, I guess sometimes IT IS good to have such a cozy relationship with Drew Rosenhaus.

Re: Would this be a good idea for Landry?

This would be a super-awesome idea....for the Skins. A terrible one for Landry. You can't spell S-T-E-A-L without ST. And now you won't be able to...spell,...umm.... L-A-U-N-D-R-Y with...out...LANDRY!

Re: Would this be a good idea for Landry?

What Smooty said.

Taylor's contract was crap from the begining and the cap has gone up significantly. If he signed a contract like Taylo'rs the NFLPA might shoot his agent. Players in the 14-18 will be getting contracts like Taylor's. Landry's will be higher.

The Skins need to get moving on the Cooley deal and once that is done get Taylor re-upped. Pay him well. Over pay him a bit to keep him off the market. The last thing on Earth we need is Sean Taylor playing against us. That scares me.
