Bob Barker to Retire

In the spirit of meaningless threads, I guess this one can be added to the pile.

Yes, ladies and gents, Bob B. will end a tremendous run of the Price is Right next month.

Re: Bob Barker to Retire

I read that article yesterday. He's truly a TV Icon, and will surely be missed. TPIR will never be the same without him leading the way.

I guess the price is no longer right.

Wow...he deserves a break, he's been going for a LONG time. 83 years old!

Re: Bob Barker to Retire

I heard a rumor that he's going to be replaced by Mario Lopez... If they actually decide to replace the greatest game show host in history with friggin A.C. Slater, they'll have to put down a riot mob consisting of house frows and the elderly. It'll be anarchy.

Re: Bob Barker to Retire

I've heard there are a few people in the running: Mario Lopez, George Hamilton, Mark Steines (Entertainment Tonight), Ryan Seacrest.

Too bad it's a CBS production, instead of an ABC/Disney production...I'd assume a simple transfer would have sufficed for you to host TPIR
