Cox Cable + NFL Network?

Is Cox or Comcast the one that doesn't carry NFL Network?

Comcast carries NFL Network. It's on Comcast Digital although I believe it's being pushed up to some higher "Sports Package" tier but they definitely carry it.

In fact, I think so does Cox on its digital tiera

I think COX does, but it is part of an extra package.

I think you are correct dmek. It's just another money ploy.

Cox on this end, but they go up every year the basic package with ESPN & COMCAST, over $50 bones a month, no extras. They are getting STUPID.

Re: Cox Cable + NFL Network?

That was the major beef the NFLN had with the cable companies. NFLN wanted it added as a basic cable channel like ESPN, while the cable companies wanted to add it to a premier sports package so they could charge extra $$ for it.

Screw cable, go with DirecTV if you can.

Re: Cox Cable + NFL Network?

Matty, you're sugar coating it from the NFLN's perspective. They wanted to get on the regular list, but still wanted cable companies to pay a high price for their network. They either need to accept less subscribers and have it a pay channel or decide to cut back their prices.

I'm getting Cox cable, and I didn't see it anywhere in the signup list.

I know that in my area we had Adelphia but that recently switched to Comcast. They will also be offering NFL Network but only on that Sports Package and it says it wont be avaliable until 6/20/07.

Re: Cox Cable + NFL Network?

Daseal,

I'm in Fairfax, too and I get NFLN on Cox digital cable as part of the sports & entertainment tier. That tier is free if you get the phone, internet, digital TV, DVR package through Cox. I think I pay around 115 a month for all four.

Re: Cox Cable + NFL Network?

Interesting Cooley, is it the Sports tier you can pick when you get one of the 2.00 dollar packages? I thought so, but I didn't see it listed. I'll have to talk to them. I really need to get my fix!

Thanks Cooley.
