F...Wolf Blitzer

So I'm watching the Democratic debate and this jackass keeps ignoring Congressman Dennis Kucinich. I thought this was a platform where candidates have equal time. These debates are a f'ing sham.

I watched it last night too. Almost everytime a question was asked, the candidate started with; "Let me first say this...." and then totally skated around the question. Then Wolf would ask the same question and they would give some bullshit answer that basically straddled the fence on the issue. How is that good for any of the candidates?

Re: F...Wolf Blitzer

I'll give an example.

When asked if/ how they would lower gas prices right now, the first guy they went to said

" Let me first say that we need to develop other forms of energy instead of relying on foreign oil."

Well Duhhhh! We all know that Jackass, That wasn't the question.

So Wolf asked it again and a few candidates replied,

" We need to investgate the oil companies to make sure they are on the level."

IMO all of the candidates did nothing to win my vote last night.

I didn't get the impression at all that Kucinich was ignored. I thought everyone had a chance to speak. No one really took over as the clear leader, but I think Richardson all but eliminated himself yesterday.

I didn't get to see it but I think that fact that he was invited is a positive. It seems this year the debates are more open to the fringe candidates. Which is good.

I think Kucinich had ample to time to speak, and was very poignant in doing so.

I don't think there were any suprises to be honest. I did take note that Senator Obama agreed with "Senator Edwards" repeatedly and called him by name.

I wouldn't be suprised to see them on the same ticket.

I didn't think Kucinich was ignored, but in all honesty, how realistic is it that he will get the nomination? I think he is a good man with integrity, but he appeals to about 10% of the left and about 5% of the general pop.

Exactly. While we see him as a good person with some good idea, he doesn't have mass appeal.

It was very intentional that the big three (Hillary, Obama, Edwards) were placed right next to each other.

Does anyone watch these debates to decide who they are going to vote for?

That would be interesting. Atleast some of the southern vote could be captured with that.

I think a Clinton-Obama ticket isolates much of the Bible belt.

It's funny because they really aren't debates at all. It's really a media spectacle for the country to see how their candidate can perform under pressure.

Yes, they do debate the issues some. But it's more of, what would you do if this or that happened? Or what are your plans for healthcare or immigration?

I don't think any of this really changes the minds of most Americans of who they are already set on voting for.
