4 out of 5 of Clayton's "Teams to Watch" on our schedule
I thought this was interesting. Clayton thinks Miami, Tampa, Detroit, and Arizona, 4 teams we play, are teams to watch. I personally feel like we can handle Miami and Detroit, but Arizona and Tampa (the only one of these 4 we play on the road) could be a different story.
ESPN - Clayton: Schedule favors these five teams - NFL

Re: 4 out of 5 of Clayton's "Teams to Watch" on our schedule
I think we can handle Miami, but the Lions are going to be another story. Kevin Jones and Tatum Bell maybe are the next best combo behind Portis Betts. Calvin Johnson and Roy Williams are so far rated higher than our WR Corp and Kitna is a 4,000+ yd passer. Furry is no slouch either at wideout.
In this game the defenses will be the big question marks. The team with the best D will win of course. I really hope our pass rush improves this season or it might be one bummer of a fall. Detroit hasn't won in DC since before I was born(1970) I am pretty sure it was 1967 when the Lions beat us at home last. |

I think Detroit is gonna have a bad ass offense. Our advantage will be a raucous home crowd. Our pass D is gonna need to be on point that game. Kitna has weapons.

Re: 4 out of 5 of Clayton's "Teams to Watch" on our schedule
I was watching sportscenter and was amazed the skins weren't in the teams to turnaround just because they were one year removed from the playoffs and he was basing his teams on how many games they would improve. The top was tampa with a three game increase and is it that hard to see the skins at 8-8?

More than likely hw wont play. I hope Tatum Bell doesnt do it but I am sticking with my prediction 42-7 rout by the skins.

We need 3 out of 4 from those teams if we want to be serious contenders.

It depends on what Redskins team shows up this season and if we can stay healthy.
Did anyone think Brad Johnson would roll into Fed Ex and win the home opener on 9/11 last season?

everyone jumps on Arizona every season.i worry about Detroit, because kitna will fold under pressure will we be able to get any? Miami has Trent Green, who's one good hit away from retirement. and Tampa, bringing in a new qback. its really all about getting to the passer

We have an advantage in playing Miami first since it will be Green's first game as a fin. WE should be able to throw a lot of looks at him, but he does know Saunders' O, which could help the fins D staff prep. |
