Exclamation Gouveia works with Redskins coaching staff

Another former Gibbs player wants a piece of the action:

Kurt looks like he could still play, too!

Kurt Gouveia was one of my favorites growing up. That guy was everywhere on the field.....defense and special teams. That would be cool to bring him back as a coach or assistant.

Yeah I liked Gouveia a lot as well. He pretty much clinched Super Bowl XXVI for us when he had that interception at the start of the second half

Kurt is one of the reasons I chose 54 in jr high, and the number stuck with me through high school, and lives on today in most all of my usernames.

i had no idea he played so recently. I thought he retired years ago. And the fact he played for teh XFL?!? I would have never guessed that in a million years. I always figured him to be one of those old time skins players.

Kinda off topic, but at one time, Gouveia's brother worked at a little service station in Luray, Va.

I was informed by the Redskins that Gouveia has been hired as an intern through the NFL's Coaching Internship Program. He is one of three interns currently working with the coaching staff.

Tha article has been updated to reflect the new info.

No, I've never been there, I'm just really anal about spelling and grammar, and I know that it's supposed to have the apostrophe between the i's, even if nobody ever puts it there. I actually took it out, because it just looks funny.
