Boldin should be back though

If we think the Cards are going to roll over, we're kidding ourselves.

Re: Kurt Warner to Miss Skins Game
Rattay threw 3 picks. Some more of that would be nice. As i recall, Rattay can run a little & throws well out of the pocket. They have great wr's so I won't be surprised if he makes some plays w/those guys, but our D should at least give them fits.

Re: Kurt Warner to Miss Skins Game
Which is exactly why all this "I'm not afraid of New England" talk is a pit premature. One game at a time.

I just hope we don't come with a soft scheme against this guy. Truthfully, he's only going to be working with a handfull of plays because he just got there, this team has weapons at wideout. And they have a couple of guys who can get after the quarterback (see Bertrand Berry) |

Re: Kurt Warner to Miss Skins Game
I think we'll see more of Landry up around the line, and more cover-3, geared to stop James. We may actually give up more deep stuff this week, but we can't let them establish the run. If we stuff the run, then Rattay has to beat us. They've got some good WRs, no doubt. But I'll take my chances that Rattay won't come through.
Mixing up where those safeties are going on each play will be important, and, as always, our CBs will have to step up against the VERY physical WRs.

Re: Kurt Warner to Miss Skins Game
Tim Rattay, isn't that Brandon Lloyd's boy? Maybe he'll perform the ultimate betrayal Sunday and go play with the Cards.
I hate to see any player get hurt, but not having Warner is a blessing for us right now because we can use all the help we can get. I've watched Warner twice this season and was impressed, I really didn't look foreward to having to go against him. |

Re: Kurt Warner to Miss Skins Game
Yeah just last week I was telling Gmanc that Warner was going to be a tough opponent. I feel a lot better with Rattay at the helm for the Cardinals. They'll still be tough though. I think this game we'll see a lot of Keenan and Ladell

Re: Kurt Warner to Miss Skins Game
I think our chances are better against Rattay than Warner. I'm just concerned about our offensive line.

Re: Kurt Warner to Miss Skins Game
Rattay is old, let's face it. I know a few people tossed around the idea of bringing him here last offseason, so he cant be viewed as being all THAT bad. He didnt play horrible against the Panthers, you could just tell he has only been there for so long.
But then again, Testaverde played pretty well and he's a dinosaur too. I like Kurt Warner but I would much rather have him on the bench than not. We should do fine against Rattay and the Cards.

Re: Kurt Warner to Miss Skins Game
Rattay's pretty good, but I feel good about playing him the week after he signs with the team.
We have a dominant pass D anyway, so I'm not sure if it matters who is at QB for the Cards. We need to make this a shootout so that one fluke play that may cost us 7 points can't change the game.
