Green Bay - Packer fans
Me and my best friend in DC flew out to the game this past weekend for this game and I'll have to say, those fans there are the nicest of probably anywhere! There were some other friends that had family there who met us early there to tailgate and all these packer fans were coming up to us and saying hi and thanked us for coming there!!! But the weirdest thing was, these 8 Packer guys who were playing music (like a small pep band) were stopping and playing for everyone for tips, and they actually played HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!!! FOR US!!!! WHO ELSE WOULD DO THAT????? We were blown away!
Not to mention how small that town is....population of like 96,000....stadium holds like 73,000...so it's almost a ticket a person! Also, our tickets were GIVEN to us by a friend of mine who's a season ticket holder there and die-hard Packer fan. Anyway just thought I'd share that. |

I second that. I went on their site last week really looking for someone to piss me off. But I must say they are some classy mofos. And they love their Packers too!!

Thats how it should be. I never get this I hate so and so fans or the whole team for that matter. I'm as competitive as they come and hate loosing but its still a game when all is said and done.

If it could ONLY be that nice in all stadiums. That's aweful nice, you don't hear many stories like that! Would have been extra SWEET to pull out a win.....

Let's be honest, most of us have been to FedEx... OUR fans aren't even that classy. Some of the stuff I've heard (drunk) grown men shout in the men's room when there's little kids in there with their dads, it makes me cringe.
I love to get rowdy at the game as much as the next guy but I don't think you can really take the kids until they're teenagers...

Re: Green Bay - Packer fans
Packers fans are pretty laid back....but if you want a fun game to go to...Oakland and SD. WOW....that was nuts.

Good to hear about Lambeau...I've always wanted to go see a game there, maybe I'll make the trek one of these years if thats how it is... PS: Don't go to Buffalo. That place is awful.

Re: Green Bay - Packer fans
Me too, but I got nadda, nothing, zippo, zilch. Most all posters were realists and respectful of the 'Skins. You gotta love the fact that they are so close to their team, kinda like Redskin fans. Too bad their persona couldn't rub off on the Philly fans, now that would be impressive.

Re: Green Bay - Packer fans
If there were no Redskins, I can honestly say I would be a Packers fan. Love their history, love the uniforms, love Favre, the Pack are my distant 2nd fav team.

Re: Green Bay - Packer fans
It's really hard to hate a team like that or fans like that. I actually get tired of hearing that the Cowboys are america's team not b/c i am a skins fan but rather i think that moniker belongs to green bay. Green Bay/Vince Lombardi/Lambeau is pro football PERIOD
