Improbable Upsets Thread
Well, since no one is giving us a prayer this weekend, I figured it would be cool to get some clips/highlights up from some other great sporting events where one team didnt have a hope in hell.....
I'll start with the most recent football one.... YouTube - Appalachian State Shocks The World

Re: Improbable Upsets Thread
Even more recent was Standford over USC. They were 40 point underdogs using a backup QB who had never taken a college snap!!!

Re: Improbable Upsets Thread
Who was that team that beat UVA when Ralph Sampson was there? Chaminade or something? Easily one of the biggest upsets ever.

1966 NCAA men's basketball championship: Texas Western versus Kentucky.
1989 NFL regular season: Dallas Cowboys (1-15) over the Washington Redskins (10-6)...{I just threw up on myself.} 1990 World Series: Reds sweep A's; actually quite a few of the World Series are won by the underdog come to think of it.

Re: Improbable Upsets Thread
Rocky going the distance against Apollo Creed and then winning the rematch against a much more focused, motivated Apollo.
Also, Scott Bakula leading the over matched Texas State Armadillos over the #1 ranked Texas Colts to end the season!

Re: Improbable Upsets Thread
Alright, when was the last time the Redskins had a major upset?
The last game I can think of was the 2000 season in St. Louis on Monday night, winning 33-20. Any others? |

Re: Improbable Upsets Thread
How about our crappy defense last year shutting down the Saints in NO. That was fun, albeit unexpected.
