A little good fortune for paulskinsfan
OK. Im bummed, pissed, etc. about our humiliating loss, but I did have one thing go right this weekend after VT broke my heart and the NE Patriots put it in a blender.
Im at this conference in WVA, with about 190 registered people. It was a 2 day conference at a resort, and one of the speakers was Bus Cook. Who the hell is Bus Cook you may ask? Well, about 14-15 years ago, Bus Cook was practicing law in Mississippi, when a friend of his asked him to take a few guys from Southern Miss. golfing. One of those guys was Brett Farve, and he asked Bus to be his agent. Now, Bus was just a lawyer, not an agent, and he told Brett he didn't know the first thing about being an agent. Brett told him he didn't know the first thing about being an NFL QB, so they could learn together. And so they did. Bus Cook now represents Farve, Steve McNair, Adailius Thomas, Freddie Smoot, Jay Cutler, and Calvin Johnson. Im getting to the way cool part. Soooo, there are about 190 registered people there, and of course Im right up front cause this is the guy I came to hear. He finishes his speech, and then reveals that an official NFL autographed football from Brett Farve had just been FedExed in, he drew a name from all in attendance and........I FREAKING WON!!!!! I went apeshit! I jumped up, flipped over my chair and had Bus pass me the football at which time I did my own endzone celebration dance which brought down the freakin house! It was totally awesome. Afterwards I talked to him about Smoot, it was really cool. Anyway, that's the only time since I was 2 at a cakewalk that I won something, so I thought Id share. |

Awesome story! Much better than if you just bought it off eBay.

This is a GREAT story! I can't wait to see the endzone dance show up on youtube.com in the near future :-).
