Shake N' Quake: My Top 10 as of 11/16/2007
1. Pats: The New England Patriots are the unamious number 1 team in the NFL right now. They are sitting pretty at 9-0 and are 2 games ahead of the Steelers and Colts for home field advantage, and with only three games left against teams with winning records and one of those teams being the Bills this week, the Pats acutally have a legitimate shot at going 16-0.
2. Steelers: The Steelers are sitting at 7-2, tied for second best record in the AFC with the Colts. "Big Ben Rothelisberger" has really taken a step towards becoming a superstar in this league and "Fast Willie Parker" is 2nd in the league in rushing yards behind Adrain Peterson. Also, the Steelers boast the leagues top defense. With all the talk surrounding the Pats, The Steelers who come into New England on December 9th, they have the best chance to stop the Pats from going 16-0. 3. Cowboys: All I have to day is Tony Romo. Tony Romo is having another pro bowl season minus one game against the Bills on Monday night. The Cowboys are presently in a struggle with the Packers for NFC supremency. In only a few weeks we have our answer: Favre or Romo. 4. Packers: Here is where the debate begins, Packers over Colts? How is that possible?. Simple the Packers have played alomst perfect football as a team this season minus the 2nd half against the Bears and the last three quarters against the Redskins and they managed to win that game. Brett Favre stated at the beginning of the season that this was the best team he has been on and it is starting to show. 5. Colts: The defending Super Bowl champions are only 2 plays away from being undefeated themselves, with an 8 minute relapse against the Pats and an uncharacteristic 29 yard miss from Viniteari against the Chargers the Colts are sitting at 7-2 swirling in injuries to Dwight Freeney and Marvin Harrison. If the Colts don't watch it they could be sitting with their first three game losing streak since 2002. 6. Jags: The definition of a 2 back system lives in Jacksonville with Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew. The 2 combined to hand the Titans a 28-13 loss were Fred Taylor eclipsed the 10,000 yard mark for his career. In the beginning of the season Jags coach Jack Del Rio was critized for going with Garrard over Leftwich. How is that working out now? Even Quinn Gray is putting up nice numbers. 7. Giants: Well the streak had to end sometime right? The Giants suffered their first loss in 7 weeks with a 31-20 loss to the Cowboys. The Giants are still a team to be feared in the long run with the improving Eli Manning and a surplus of defensive ends that can get to the Quarterback. 8. Titans: Their games are never pretty, win or lose as was shown last weekend, but with a sleeper defense and a Quarterback in Vince Young who finds ways to win ball games, don't count out the Titans. Look for the Titans to rebound against the Broncos. 9. Chargers: Darren Sproles has catipulted the Chargers into the top 10 this week. After giving up a record 296 yards to Adrain Peterson, the Chargers D bounced back with 6 interceptions of Peyton Manning in a 23-21 victory, Antonio Cromartie had 3 by himself. Although they didnt score and offensive TD the defense won them this game and it looks like the bolts are back on track. 10. Redskins: I know, I know its the Redskins how could they be in the top 10? Injuries people, injuries have crippled the Skins this season and turned what should be an 8-1 season into a 5-4 season. The Skins are still in the Wild Card hunt and need to bounce back against the Cowboys this week to keep up with the Lions. 10b. Browns: They showed last week that they are contenders, they just were not able to finish against the Steelers after building a 21-6 lead. Brady who?? Derek Anderson is having a very nice season leading that explosive offense. Although I think the defense is a couple of steps behind, the offense can certainly guide the Browns to a 9 win season. What you guys think? If enough people like it I can do it every week?

Pretty solid. I'd have the Cowboys at 2, and I wouldn't have the Chargers in there at all. Indy beat themselves on Sunday night, and the Chargers did nothing on offense in that game. I'd probably have Detroit in there, and maybe Tampa instead of Washington.
I guess mine would be 1) NE 2) Dallas 3) Pitt 4) GB 5) Indy 6) Jax 7) NYG 8) Tenn 9) Detroit 10) Tampa

Yeah, but Pittsburgh's two losses are to Denver and Arizona and you still have them #2. Detroit isn't a bad team, and is Tampa any more up and down than we are?

Mine would be:
1) Patriots 2) Dallas 3) Packers 4) Steelers 5) Jaguars 6) Titans 7) Browns 8) Colts 9) Giants 10) Chargers I think the Freeney injury is going to hurt the Colts a lot.

I think you guys are writing off the Colts a little prematurely. They have fallen on some tough times but lets wait a couple games before we start dropping them out of the top 5.

I agreed with most of what you said, i do believe however that Dallas is better than the Steelers. The Jags imo are ranked too high and i think the Browns are better than us, wait.... did i just really say i think the Browns are better than us, oh god!

There's still no reason to drop them out of the top two. If anybody beats the Patriots, it will be the Colts.

Re: Shake N' Quake: My Top 10 as of 11/16/2007
I doubt that there is anyone else anywhere that would put the Redskins in the top 10 apart from a Redskins fan. Really, being logical you just cannot say that we are currently the 10th best team in the NFL at the moment. Of course, a win this week would change that...

You could also make the argument that we are better than the Browns, Bucs, Lions, and Seahawks.
