Car problem
The other day I smelled this strong burned rubber smell when I turned on my heat, and now there is this rattling/clicking noise when the heat is on. It's still blowing heat, and the smell is gone, but the noise is going to drive me nuts. I'm taking the car in for service tomorrow, any idea what the problem could be? I'm thinking maybe heater core? I have a 2006 Ford Focus with just over 20k. I'm hoping this will fall under the warranty.

Re: Car problem
Something in the blower fan.
If it's still blowing heat, the core is fine. I have had mouse problems in my car over the past couple years. THose suckers pack stuff in any nook and cranny they can. When it starts to get cold, they start looking for warm places to build nests - my engine bay has been one of their favorite places.
