I didn't watch it when it was on HBO originally, but I've always wanted to see it.

I just watched the first 2 episodes over the weekend, good stuff!

Like someone said above, I paid the $120 for it awhile back. It is an absolutely addicting series. One of the best I've ever seen. I've seen it quite a few times so I gave it to my father about a year ago. He watches it probably once or twice a week. When they interview the actual WWII vets from easy company, it's amazing to hear them speak. Great series.

Great series. Got it when it came out. Damien Lewis is a wonderful actor. Great scripts, excellent photography and good extras with a cool documentary on the last disc.

I just saw this and remembered this thread. BofB is out on Blu Ray tomorrow and Amazon has it for a pretty damn good price if you ask me...

This might be thread worthy in its own right, but I figured I'd just post it here. The nation lost a real hero last week, but at least he was able to go on and live a long and happy life. RIP Major Winters.

His royalties from the book went to a variety of organizations, including veterans groups, breast-cancer research organizations and the Ronald McDonald house in Hershey, Pennsylvania, where he lived for years."
