New QB on the Practice Squad
New QB On Practice Squad - Redskins Insider
"The Skins have no immediate plans to put Jason Campbell on IR for now, but they did sign QB Jason Fife, who played at Oregon, to the practice squad (LB Tyson Smith was released from the practice squad). Campbell said he has a sprained MCL as well as the dislocated left knee cap, and that he figures he is out probably four weeks at least, but will not know for sure until another week, when they evaluate the degree of swelling. Jason said no one in the organization had clarified specifically whether or not he would be put on IR, but he was holding out hope of getting a chance to play in the playoffs." Why not Casey Bramlet? I thought he was available. Oh well.

Re: New QB on the Practice Squad
The Dolphins picked Bramlet up for their practice squad after Atlanta cut him from their practice squad after we cut him from our practice squad.

Re: New QB on the Practice Squad
Who cares about Bramlet? We're talking about a practice squad caliber QB here.

If you can't start for the Dolphins this year... hang it up.

Same Jason Fife that couldn't beat out Joey Harrington and Kellen Clemens at Oregon? Well let's hope he doesn't have to take the field...ever

I'd like to see Bramlet in camp next year when we are more than likely looking to replace Brunnell as the 3rd.Of course, when Collins takes us to the SB who could displace him as #2?

Re: New QB on the Practice Squad
Why do we need this Jason guy? Just give Randle El some reps this week as the emergency QB. We may have Thrash back this week anyway, so we have plenty of healthy WRs for the first time in awhile, Moss, Caldwell, McCardell, Thrash, Mix. Oh, and Cooley gets 9 catches a week now as well.

Re: New QB on the Practice Squad

Re: New QB on the Practice Squad
I think the Redskins have already seen all of Carson's little brother they wanted to see during Training camp. No need to go down that path again when you know what is there. I actually admire them for not picking up a guy they have seen before. If you know he was not what you wanted the first time around don't go get him again.

Re: New QB on the Practice Squad
I heard the Dolphins wear going to sign John Lindner, me, I could start week 16. shit its not like it would make any difference.
But who else thinks we need to go after a QB in the draft. If we did Draft a QB, who would you want?
