Unhappy Barrow probably out for HOFG

"Linebacker Mike Barrow sat out practice after being diagnosed Friday with tendonitis in his left knee. His status is day-to-day and he is unlikely to play in Monday's game." from redskins.com

This was from a report on Saturday, anyone have any updates?

Good. Keep him out if hes even questionable. No need to risk anyone in such a early stage in the PRE season.

Gibbs is really working everyone hard out there...A lot of people are sore and out. Barrows is more serious. I think after Spurriers camps a lot of people wernt in as good of shape as they needed to be. Gibbs needs to keep doing that treadmill test of his to see in how good of shape his players are.

Barrows a better ack then Trotter, more complete, a better athlete.

Hopefully tendonitis means that he needs to rest his knee for a couple weeks and then itll be fine. I wouldnt expect him to get many reps in the preseason. I hope he learned our system pretty fast in the practices that he has been in already.

Would you still say that if he didn't play for Miami. I don't plan on seeing our starters much at all, honestly.

it has nothing to do with him being from Miami. i was a kid when he played at UM.

Barrow has one of the best work ethics of any player in the league. He forced lavar to get his act in gear because barrow was faster then him on the field. Look at barrows stats, obvioulsy much more productive then Trotter. Barrow also is one of the best run stoppers in the league.

Barrow has been consitent every year and he's a leader. Trotter has only played what 2 full seasons?

Not very comfortable with this injury but very happy we have Mitchell at backup!!!! He would start on alot of other teams. LaVar said it himself he should have played over Trotter.

Tendonitis is usually used as an excuse to be put on the injured list because it's hard to determine whether an athelete really has it or not. I hope Williams just wants to keep him fresh for the season.

Let him ride the pine for the pre season.I would like to see what Mitchell can do with a lot of reps with the first team.I have always been a fan of his and want to see him step up.

Good call smootsmack....I really think Clemons could be a beast in a few years and I have always hated Pierce so I am looking foward to seeing if he can change my mind.
