Redskins almost in the playoffs!

With a hard fought game tonight against the Vikes, it seems the Redskins are destined for the last and final playoff spot.

With Dallas Clinching homefield and most likely resting most of its starters from WK17, it looks like the Skins will almost be the beneficier of a free playoff spot.

What is your take on what will happen?

Re: Redskins almost in the playoffs!

I think you've already said it - Dallas has clinched homefield, and will rest starters. It doesn't guarantee a win, but it certainly helps. The key to me is to bring playoff level intensity, exactly as the Skins have for each game of this winning streak. I don't see Dallas playing with that kind of urgency in what amounts to a meaningless game for them.

No offense but this thread is making me angry. What kind of inside info do you have to hype us with your talk?

Re: Redskins almost in the playoffs!

i hope the god the players don't look at it like you do. no matter who lines up across from Washington on Sunday, these guys are still pros. while it may make it alittle easier, we will still have to play our guts out to get the win

no matter who they have lining up ....it,s dallas nuff said..
continue to play hard and aggressive and the rest will take care of itself.

it,s dallas and they are on the schedule so we have to hit em hard and hit long for 60 minutes of football....

Re: Redskins almost in the playoffs!

You are nuts.
Dallas is way better than the Eagles, Giants, Vikes...even with a few starters out.
This will be the hardest game to win by far.
Not to mention that we hate their guts and they hate ours.

Put the shoe on the other foot...if the Skins could knock the Cowboys out of the playoffs at Dallas in a so called "meaningless game"....don't you think they'd be extremely excited to do so?

C'mon skins fans...the odds are still against us....as they have been for a month...
This is going to be a very tough game to win.

A few starters?

By the end of the first quarter I'd be shocked to see any of their starters in the game.

Knocking an opponent out of the playoff hunt means nothing to them. All they will be focused on his resting up and getting ready for their first playoff game.

Re: Redskins almost in the playoffs!

If they do rest their starters, Brad Johnson will start. And you can bet your Aunt Suzie's ass he'll make it his personal vendetta to keep us out.

In reality though, it'll be their second string vs. our second string that's been playing virtually all season.

The Skins CANNOT take this game lightly, and no "free" playoff spots are given out in this league.

you are absolutely correct. I've been waiting for someone to punch BJ (great initials you douchebag) in the mouth since he went off with the vikings last year after scoring that td and made all the highlight reels...

Re: Redskins almost in the playoffs!

All I can say is how tough is the NFC East, if the Redskins do make it this year that will mark the second time in 2 years that 3 of the 4 teams in the east made the playoffs...
